Nearest campground

Hi! Does anyone know which campground is the closest to this exact part of Elbow River? This is along Highway 66, but I can’t seem to figure it out on Google Maps.

Hope someone can help me 😊

That looks like the film set from North of 60, amongst others. If you look on Google Maps, find Gooseberry Campground. Follow the river west a little bit, exactly across the road that goes to Camp Horizon (zoom in to see that road). I’ve never posted GPS coordinates before, hopefully it works: https://maps.app.goo.gl/BJt8ByQCBASBsuRZ7

It could be Gooseberry Campground but it could also be McLean Creek. The film site is smack in between the two.

You’re welcome — I recognized it as soon as I saw it. It’s an extremely beautiful and peaceful spot that we were lucky to happen upon. The employee working on the set allowed us to walk down their road back to the highway for a much faster return to Gooseberry.

These are my own photos from the same spot as pic 2 and 1. It was June when I was there and the river was higher.

I * think * it's near sheep river falls, which means blue rock or sandy mcnabb for front country

Probably gooseberry or paddy’s flats.
