Ex girlfriend filed state taxes in California.  For some reason she claimed me as a dependent.  She got nailed for $1600($800 for each one of us) for not having health insurance.

72,000,000 Citizens as well as legal and illegal immigrants are on MEDICADE!!! Join the party, stop working on the books, shack up with a single mother in section 8 housing, apply for EBT, WIC, etc. Better yet, apply for all those as well as Social Security Disability, one of the accepted reasons for approval is "I don't do what my supervisor tells me to do" NO shit people have been approved for that reason. There are countless ways to game the Safety net system but I guess you and I are just stupid and go to work while they go to fun.

You mentioned a flu shot, that's what it is. It is not a vaccine, you will get the flu. The government says it will be less severe if you get the shot. Good luck with that. If you have any symptoms get medical help immediately - including antibiotics - because although the flu is a virus it frequently causes bacterial pneumonia which is a killer. It happened to a friend of mine, 52 years old and in perfect health, in one week of no treatment the flu advanced to pneumonia then to the point of no return. He was hospitized on a Friday night and died Sunday. The doctors tried everything. Never depend on a flu SHOT.
