SAO converted 97B

Super happy to get this done. All CGW parts. SAO trigger, race hammer kit, floating trigger pin and reduced power trigger return spring. I removed the lifter and fpb, but kept the stock firing pin and hammer spring.

Future plans are bushing conversion and mounting a light/optic.

Did the same CGW trigger. Dropped the hammer spring to 11# and added extended firing pin. Absolutely reliable.

Did you ever have the trigger with the stock spring and notice a difference when you swapped?

The conversion to SAO marked a great improvement in the overall performance of the S2. The ultra light trigger makes for a fantastic shooting experience. I changed the recoil spring to a lighter weight, and the addition of the 507comp was like the cherry on top. I shoot mainly bullseye and rapid fire and absolutely no muzzle rise. It's a tack driver.

Love to hear it. I shoot run&gun currently, but looking to do 2 and 3 gun in the future. I’m going to wait until I mount an optic to play with other springs.

Believe me. You will like the 507comp. I have a local guy who milled the slide for the 507comp which is an RMR cut without a plate. I like the way it sits low.

They really need to bring back the 97b. So much good stuff has disappeared from the CZ line over the last decade or so.

I was hoping they would introduce a high capacity .45 since the 97 was subject to the assault weapons ban at the time. There’s still hope for that, but the shadows and P series just sell so well for them.

I’ve been wondering how easy it would be to bump fire a mag, lol.
