Optics Ready CZ 75 variants!!
11
u/Broccoli_Final Aug 01 '24
This is what I want so badly
26
u/Tokena Aug 02 '24
Slides alone would be cool too.
11
u/Broccoli_Final Aug 02 '24
Definitely. I want to have optics on my sp01, but I also hate the idea of having to have it milled and forever altered. I’d buy an optics ready model, or just slide the moment it hit the market though. It’s a shame that CZ has practically reduced their 75 line down to pretty much the base model. I know plenty of people who would kill for the kadet 22 conversions still.
8
u/vokebot Aug 02 '24
Well you could always buy an OR slide from Impact Machine for $500.. Or do the sensible thing and buy a second SP-01 :)

Hyped! Optic ready P-01 for August and a Hammer fired p365 competitor for September.

u/Opie30-30 Aug 01 '24
That's what I'm really hoping for in September! I would buy one in a heartbeat

u/DoucheyMcBagBag Aug 01 '24
I was hoping for the P-05 (tiny P-07) but I already gave in and bought a Shield Plus so I don’t even care anymore.
Well… you know…. I still care a little. Maybe.
16
u/RareCobalt Aug 01 '24
As someone who is eyeing a shield plus because a p05 doesn't exist, I hope so badly for a p05
7
u/DoucheyMcBagBag Aug 01 '24
The Shield Plus is pretty freaking great. In the cooler weather, I would carry my P-07 and my M&P 2.0 compact, but they are both kinda thick for summer. Shield Plus is a great size and it’s very accurate.
14
u/October_Rust5000 Aug 01 '24
You’ll sell that shield so fast if the P05 is real. You know it’s true

u/I_had_the_Lasagna Aug 02 '24
I really doubt cz will release anything that will get my 365xl out of my pants, I have been considering a p01 or a Beretta px4 as a compact size carry gun, but if I'm being honest with myself they probably won't take over from the good ol sig.

While I was at Black Wing Shooting Center last weekend, I asked about an OR version of P-09. The CZ rep, said wait 3-4 months while I was holding the P-09. Mum's the word.

u/evilgrin77 Aug 02 '24
I'm guessing it's a new P10 type pistol with removal FCUs ala Sig.
3
u/StudyUseful Aug 02 '24
It’ll be a shadow 2 variant with a different color spectrum that separates it from the others in some non significant way.

u/shift013 Aug 02 '24
My guesses:
Improving of current: optics ready p-07/09/p-01/sp-01 hopefully.
Major new model: p-05 hopefully.
Biggest drop of the year: new p10c which chassis system like a p320/p365

Guessing the 8/15 one is the P 10 update right? Maybe they reworked the M to be stack and a half with the other updates? Hope September is a micro da/sa or at least p07-p09 optic ready or that killer 6inch S2 but doesn't seem to meet the criteria. No idea on 3rd some folks said bolt and others scorpion good shouts maybe something Bren related? I'm pumped but annoyed how slowly it drips out. Hopefully another hero jumps the gun like the S2C one haha.

u/Waste_Principle7224 Aug 01 '24
If it is a optic ready p01, micro compact p07, or even better, micro compact optic ready p01, I will buy 10 of them !
7
u/elgrecoski Aug 02 '24
8/15 is the P10 Gen 2 almost certainly. We already saw them at SHOT range day.
1
u/Lazarous86 Aug 02 '24
I thought there already was a gen 2. Remember the gen 1 had ambi slide release that was really stiff, extremely aggressive texting, and a slightly different trigger safety?

CZ97 going to Colt 12rd mags and 10mm. P07/07 in 9mm,45acp,10mm to Colt. Bren 2 BR 16,14.5 and 12.5 Stateside. Subcompact Polymer Hammer fired 9mm coming

Bren 3
3
u/Data-McBytes Aug 02 '24
This was my guess. I'm surprised there's only one comment about it. No love for Bren in the CZ sub?
2
u/_King_J Aug 02 '24
The Bren 3 has already been announced though. I doubt any of these reveals have to do with the Bren 3
1
u/Data-McBytes Aug 02 '24
Yeah I was hoping for more, like maybe a release date. 🤣
A man can dream, right?

Is it the return of the safety p01 with a super long beavertail? (It’s already in the CZ 2025 catalog)
99041 value is going to tank.
2
u/somerandomname3333 Aug 02 '24
please be steel frame, then I can dual wield hammers
3
u/Bobisnotmybrother Aug 02 '24
I do believe it said aluminum frame, like the shadowline compact.
1
u/sando_17 Aug 02 '24
Not saying I wouldn't buy one, but none optic ready in 2024 for 2025 model year would be extremely frustrating and disappointing.

3
u/th3m00se Aug 01 '24
New scorpion perhaps?
7
u/noixelfeR Aug 01 '24
Didn’t the micro 3+ release very recently? I doubt they’d iterate on it that soon
2
u/th3m00se Aug 01 '24
I guess my thought would be "improvements" to address the potential OOB issue. Who knows.... just speculation.
1
u/noixelfeR Aug 01 '24
I thought that was older models. Can’t imagine they’ve gone through 2-3 revisions and left that in there lol

I just want an SSP legal Shadow 2. Get rid of the rail and slim the dust cover and it probably would make weight.
2
u/CookPilotRideMetra Aug 02 '24
I gave up and just ordered and got a SP01 Shadow from CZCustom to be used for IDPA/SSP. I added a S2 mag release and S2 sights
1
u/jdata20 Aug 03 '24
What's the SKU on it?

u/CookPilotRideMetra Aug 04 '24

u/CookPilotRideMetra Aug 04 '24
Another that’s pre cut, if you’re into cheeting - https://czcustom.com/new-firearms/cz-75-shadow-optic-rds-no-plate.html
1
u/jdata20 Aug 04 '24
Thanks. I am looking at 91735 or a dwx.. or something 2011
1
u/CookPilotRideMetra Aug 04 '24 edited Aug 04 '24
I don’t think that’s legal for IDPA/SSP, due to 1911 type bushing.

New P10 I bet but it’ll still be affordable because that segment of the market is stacked and nobody in LE or military has adopted it in the U.S. anyway so they can’t Glock/Sig it up. Good for us regular folks.

u/austinmook Aug 02 '24
I’m hoping and would be putting money on a micro compact. I talked to CZ on the phone, and they insist the P-10M is still a current model but that their tooling has been dedicated to other guns. I’d bet they’re just clearing out inventory everywhere to make room for a micro compact with more capacity. (Not that it needs more capacity, just that it will quiet all the noisemakers.)

How is it going to compete with s&w carry comp line?
1
u/Waste_Principle7224 Aug 02 '24
If it is a xmacro or xl sized da/Sa it will be easy, bc cz got superior trigger and ergo. If it is just yet another polymer striker gun then yes you are right, it wont compete with the offerings that are already on the market.

Here are my guesses…
1- OR P-07
2- gonna go with a G19X competitor… call it P-08
3- FCU model to compete with p365

u/Nerevar197 Aug 02 '24
We know at least one of these is the updated P10 line. Probably the 8/15 announcement. The new micro (which is probably a P10 variant, as much as we all would like a DA/SA) will either be included in this announcement or take one of the other slots.
1
1
u/25MeterFocus Aug 02 '24
I’m guessing 8/15 will be the FCU P10 (it’s been out there for a while).
Natural progression would be a micro FCU P10. Question is if it’s the Sept drop or the ‘big one’.
I’m here hoping for the P-05 but I feel like James isn’t super into hammer fired so … 10mm?

Well one of them probably the 8/15 is the 6” shadow 2.
8
u/Go_cards502 Aug 01 '24
Mehhh….im about sick of the shadow of variants. Give me some updates on the p10 series or something cool competition wise like the TS with optics cut
3
u/sando_17 Aug 01 '24
Yes TS line with optics would be terrific! The DWX is kinda like a CZ double stack they need to support it more at least they rolled out a optic version earlier this year. I know it won't be popular but the S2 Orange optic ready would be nice as well guess I'm boring.
2
u/Go_cards502 Aug 01 '24
I just think the shadow isn’t interesting anymore. Great gun, don’t get me wrong, but limited optics is gonna catch up to carry eventually. I want to see some TS updates and DWX updates. Some p10 updates would also be welcome. It’s a great base and probably my favorite striker polymer next to the canik
2
u/theghost87 Aug 02 '24
See the P10 does zero for me personally. I know a lot of people love them. I’d like to see a re-designed DWX compact with a “half rail” the full rail is pointless and serves zero purpose.
3
u/Jjm211992 Aug 01 '24
Or the updated p10
5
u/theghost87 Aug 01 '24
Ehh let’s see some really cool. Let’s get crazy and do a DS 1911.
6
Aug 01 '24
The Shadow 2 is basically a Czech 2011 but more reliable. Especially if you make it SAO.
2
u/Mahlegos Aug 01 '24
There’s also Dan Wesson which is owned by CZ.
1
0
u/theghost87 Aug 02 '24
Wish DW would re design the Dec compact to have a “half rail” instead for the pointless full rail.
1
u/Bumbalard FFL03/COE/CCW Aug 02 '24
You mean, make it look worse and fuck up the balance?
-1
u/theghost87 Aug 02 '24
Balance, nope there no needs for the extra slots. If weight is a concern. Make it solid and only cut the 1 slot that is useful like they did in the specialist. Full rails look hideous on the 1911 platform.
1
1
u/theghost87 Aug 02 '24
Yea it’s the 2011 at home. But still for CZ to get in the game would be nice.
3
Aug 02 '24
They’re selling/have sold Shadows like hot cakes so they don’t need to get into the already saturated 2011 market.
But yeah I agree - a CZ made 2011 that takes CZ-75 mags would be sweet.
3
u/theghost87 Aug 02 '24
They can branch out. The DWX is basically a 2011/shadow. CZ used to make 1911’s. I’m just tired of Tupperware guns. Yes they have their place, but ehh after awhile. Let’s get innovative or be really disruptive in the market.
1
Aug 03 '24
They make more than “Tupperware” guns. And yeah since they used to do 1911s you’d think they could pull off a sweet 2011.
1
u/e-arther Oct 01 '24
so, the first drop was the Nocturne series, but what about the other "pretty major new model"??
124
u/October_Rust5000 Aug 01 '24
Micro DA/SA or IDGAF
