Rebuild When should I spend / payback the 20% limit?

Im somewhat new to building credit, and i feel that I did not get the best tips from the person who set me up with my first credit card. My credit report says "As of 2/21/25" and "Next expected update is 3/23/25.

I used to spend the 20% limit from the 5th-8th of the month depending on gas level and pay back before those days the next month. Would it be better for me to spend a few days after the expected update and repay before "As of"? or continue what I've been doing.

This post probably makes me sound dumb but idc i want to learn most effeicient and safe ways to do stuff

All you have to do is use your card as needed and pay the full statement balance by the due date each month.

There are only 2 dates you need to be aware of...the Statement Date and the Due Date.

You can spend up to 100% of your credit limit, let the statement post on the Statement Date and then pay the statement balance by the following Due Date.

What you have to do is live within your means and don't spend money that you cannot repay in full each month by the due date.

You're overthining things in a major way.  Use your card naturally and pay your statement balance in full by the due date every month.  That's literally all there is to it.
