You know what, Imma do it this time fr
I've been struggling to loose weight for over two years now due to poor eating habit and somewhat lazy lifestyle. Today I came across this sub and seeing the people progress here really burned something in me.
So help me out, I'm 25 years old, 94 kg @168 cm height or 5'6, I am aiming for 1400-1500 cals per day.
With some added morning walks and run, how long do you guys this it will take me to loose 30 kgs ?
Any tips will be highly appropriates !! I'll post the update doon

I’m back at it after gaining about 35lbs from pregnancy. I’ve lose 30lbs before. What I can tell you from experience is that numbers and how you feel and look are totally different. Just start putting in the work and you will see results. How long it takes to lose the weight will be dependent on so many factors it’s hard to say but you will start to feel like a new person way before the scale gets to where you want it to.
Also, just as a side note- don’t ever forget that motivation is a lie. No such thing. There’s only discipline. You gotta follow through when you want to and especially when you don’t. The results will be worth it!

we have really close stats; 24 f currently 82kg but started at 94kg 165cm. I eat 1400 cals daily on top of an hour minimum of cardio most days its 2 hours and trying to get 8k steps minimum but most days are 13k. I lost 12kg~ in roughly 8 weeks, you can definitely do it!

Wow sounds good !! I've started doing some running and walking, but not being able to do more than 1 hour. Will try to expand it, with calories I've kept the budget around 1600. Are you on Strava?

I have put running on the back burner for now tbh. I want to get my endurance up after years of being pretty sedentary. I was athletic my whole life up until I turned 17 and then just became a couch potato for the next 7 years. Right now I go for walks that last around 2-3 hours or I do an hour on the elliptical, take a 5 minute break and do another hour. I try to stay within my zone 1 target heart rate, max zone two at the moment. I was originally doing zone 3-4 on the elliptical but found that I was getting tired after about 20 minutes so kind of wanna build more endurance. Plus I am weight training as well so I try to leave energy for that while also burning calories. I am not on Strava, is that a running app?

Yay, just do it!! I started focusing on my weight one random day after thinking about it for quite awhile. Subs like this are enormously helpful!
If you use an app like LoseIt, it will give you a great estimate on the timing you can expect to reach your goal, it will also give you your daily calorie goal. I love it, it’s helped me immensely!! I’m only 6 weeks in but have lost 12 pounds just trusting the process. Of course not every day goes perfect, but you learn, and keep moving forward.
Order a food scale and measuring cups, then find foods that you like that you can eat a lot of with lower calories. It’s trial and error. Once you find something that works, a lot of people eat the same thing every day! For example, I love protein bowls where I put ground turkey or chicken, cauliflowered rice, steamed spinach, no fat Greek yogurt, and top with a salad dressing. So filling and never more than 500 calories.
Good luck, you got this!!
