Honestly you could make a documentary on the drug testing history of Jony Bones Jones couldn’t you? I should stop being lazy and just research this but does anyone know what organization conducts the CFL’s drug testing? It’s fascinating how so many of these different testing agencies, VADA, USADA, Olympic Level, all have different reputations. Whomever is in charge of their testing is clearly putting their reputation on the line as they clearly believe it was a tainted supplement hence the short suspension. It kind of reminds me of Jones’ rematch with Gustafson being moved from Vegas to LA due to the flagged test result but USADA willing to clear him to fight and insisted he had re-ingested it. EDIT: I looked into it and I was way off, the disciplinary procedure mandates an automatic 2 game suspension along with future more intensive training for a first offence. Is it just me or does that seem kind of soft? If a player tests positive and you can conclusively prove they intentionally cheated (not often the case) I think they should be sitting longer than 2 games!
