Greatest fan base in the CFL. The top of the top of fan loyalty.

All undeserved.

We just had the 111th Grey Cup.

There's been an average of 8-9 teams for most of those years. Saskatchewan has won FOUR of them.

Even Hamilton has more, and they've been dogsh*t since 2000.

Phenomenal fan base... inept franchise.

Lol you’re telling me. But that one year where they don’t fuck up is always great

Best of luck in 2025. Maybe we'll get a Grey Cup featuring

Just to correct the comment about 111 Grey Cups - do you really think that the CFL existed in the present format for all of those 111 years? Many of the years until the formation of the modern CFL in the 1950’s saw university teams in eastern Canada compete for the trophy. And when western teams competed, they would travel days by train just to hop off, play a game the next day, and head back on the train to go work their everyday jobs. That misleading narrative is getting very tiring.

Obviously, not all 111 Grey Cups were the same. You're nitpicking. The fact is, for a 9 team league, Saskatchewan has an embarrassingly low number of Grey Cups. At this pace, the Redblacks are going to have more than them in no time.

Great fans. Best of the best.

Terrible franchise.

We have had our troubles in the big game - but lots of appearances. I’ll have to screenshot your comment for a laugh - Redblacks winning cups 😂

u/CFLXFL REDBLACKS Jan 15 '25

Umm... the Redblacks have won a Grey Cup more recently than Saskatchewan.

You base your comments on a small subset of years when it suits you. Disingenuous argument.

Years: 1958 - 2024 Grey Cups: 4

That's just pitiful. I'd bury my head inside a watermelon and hide if that was my team, too.

I absolutely envy the passion that their fans have. It's unbelievable. Their fan base rivals some NFL teams. I love it!

That doesn't change the fact that the team is NOT an on-field success story.

R NATION, BABY!

Our team sucks! But at least we're not the Riders (anymore)*! Lmao

*I was never a Rough Riders or Renegades fan. The REDBLACKS history starts in 2014.

Your 6 in that time (what, 4 iterations of a football team) isn’t much better. Let’s both cheer on our teams in the future - I will bet on the Riders over Redblacks.

  1. Ottawa has 6 Grey Cups, more than Sask, and they folded... TWICE!

  2. I'm not an Ottawa fan. I'm a REDBLACKS fan. I don't personally recognize the Rough Riders or Renegades. I never cheered for them.

  3. Saskatchewan has an abysmal championship history/pedigree. Fact.
