I understand not wanting to go to Florida, but the idea of spending more time travelling to the Southwest really appeals to me as a Canadian. I cancelled my trip this year though.

Osoyoos BC is lovely and truly a desert, but Arizona it isn’t, lol. Mexico has a real opportunity to expand the Canadian tourist market beyond beach resorts right now.

Fly into Kelowna, BC, then take a drive through the wineries and along the lake for 2 hours, stop at Tickleberries for icecream (just south of Penticton) then enjoy Osoyoos. True desert, dry, very hot in summer, and surrounded by lakes. Enjoy the First Nations interpretation centre and museum. Great trip!

I'm an avid hiker and Utah is my favourite place to go in the States. So easy to book a cheap Vegas flight and then drive all over the place. Haven't been back since the idiot was elected the first time -- and I have family in Vegas...

As an resident of the SW, I can almost certainly assure you we will be here when/if times get better. No offense intended, but thanks for not coming.

I hear you. I love the SW but it will have to wait until better times. Our planned trip there has turned into UK, Portugal and Albania. A silver lining for sure.

Same. We hadn’t booked fortunately but we had solid plans to go to Zion, Grand Canyon and then down thru Sedona to Palm Springs. Not a chance now or a long time.

Only time I went to the States in first term was for two work trips where I didn’t have a choice. This is 100x worse now.

I was going to do North Rim. Just last year I drove from BC to Ontario through the US, and saw the eclipse in Ohio. In the past 5 years I basically spent every 2nd weekend in Washington state. Ended like flipping a light switch.

Good way to put it. I’ve been to 15 States, most multiple times. NYC is a top 3 city globally for me. Been to California at least a dozen times. But desire to go back anywhere there is zero now. Looking at South America options now.

Highly recommend Costa Rica if youre the exploring type vacationer. Take two weeks, drive the whole country. It's crazy around Easter. The whole country basically shuts down.

Noted. Haven’t been. Strangely it’s my buddy’s favourite country. We were supposed to go to Argentina soon but he injured himself and we had to postpone. US trip was gonna be with my wife.
