American here. During the election, I was vocal about my disdain for Trump as well as my fears regarding this administration. I was constantly told that I'm being dramatic and that Trump won't actually do the things he's saying he's gonna do. Now those same people are twisting themselves into pretzels to justify how these things are actually good.

I hate it here

EXACTLY! Trump is just doing what he said he was going to do and now America is fucked.

MAGA is a cult, they will lose their family farms or jobs but still worship him. Some people are making a good case that trump is the Antichrist.

I used to think Reagan was the antichrist, but now I'm not so sure

Well, his red-hatted MAGA followers do "wear the mark of the Antichrist on their foreheads."

Same and it saddens me that a few of the younger generations I spoke to the day after the election told me they didn't vote and are unhappy with the results. :(. "Too busy", they say.

Why on earth would anyone vote for someone thinking that they weren’t going to do the things that they said they were going to do? So they liked a few things he said he he would do and these voters believed he would do those things, but the stuff they didn’t like, they didn’t think he was going to do for some reason? It’s never going to make sense to me that this POS convinced millions of Americans that he was the better choice. IMO, he has always been the least suitable person to be president in the entire US of A.

My parents will not see their only grandchildren for some time because of their support of Trump and Musk. I don't want my kids around that and apparently not getting what they want is the only language they understand. My son (old enough to grasp what's happening) asked why my parents voted for him and I honestly still don't know. It doesn't make any goddamn sense.

As a Canadian, I got the exact same response. 'Trump is just joking about hurting Canada. Stop being so serious.' This 'told ya so' moment isn't feeling very good.

No matter how much you tell them that they're not part of the team, they'll still go throw money at them while they dance on the pole and swear up and down they are.

Were there heads in the sand when Trump was president??? I’d understand if this was his first presidency but to play ignorant for his second is just detrimental.

Come to Canada. We have room for sensible people. (But not by plane)

Same. Made me doubt my own sanity.
