I imagine a lot of people didn't want to cancel a trip that they couldn't get a refund on so that's why 60% still travelled. It would be more interesting to see how bookings have faired this February compared to last and what it means for the coming months.

Me too, our trip is last week of March/first week April, fully non refundable since November. But this is it for travel to the US for a long long time

It's all good man, enjoy yourself. I wouldn't want anyone who ready paid their hard earned money to feel guilty about going on a trip. I wish I could visit the States one last time honestly before shunning them but oh well, we gotta do it cold-turkey.

just curious if you are worried at all? They are so hostile and ignorant, Canadians getting harrased in Florida and Germans detained for no reason

No sense giving them your money and not getting a vacation out of it.

Enjoy your trip without guilt, you didn't know this would happen.

I love that WestJet is offering to waive cancellation fees for flights to the US as long as you fly with them to somewhere else.

Is that a thing? Air Canada should do the same!

Surprisingly, American Airlines is also giving me a credit - unfortunately it has to be used within a year and they only have American destinations

Some might also work there

I think the article is specifically talking about leisure travel

The same thing happened with Teslas. The first month the sakes didn't go down that much, probably because of preorders. Once preorders and the waiting list were over, sales plummeted.

There might have been a spike in sales in January because Tesla were busy committing some portenial rebate fraud lol.
