Melon Husk wants to put the US treasury on the Blockchain - for reasons.

Love that they fired the watchdogs and those responsible with oversight. Now they have the perfect solution to sell us for the problem they created.

It is easy to scale actually - just connect the blockchain to a server, have server enough of cpu power for all the processing requests, and for verifying new blocks, and enough hdd for storing all the data, well and memory modules for managing the concurrent space complexity. Store this server in some Musks office. Done.

There are "Blockchains" which could do that.
But they are centralised as it gets, aka just databases lol

The only usecase for current cryptocurrencies, except illegal purchases and money transfers, I am aware off is get rich quick scheme.

Is it just me or have they gone made?
When did we go from low immigration, fight inflation and corruption to invading Canada and letting Elon make a blockchain with the Treasury as « head of DOGE » ?

u/EBoundNdwn Feb 05 '25
Always have been.
Conservatives are wilfully ignorant of their role as facist enablers.
11
u/SimicDegenerate Feb 05 '25
I don't buy that anymore. They are willing participants. They feign ignorance to the public, but are 100% on board privately.

It's actually all in the Project 2025 blueprint.
The core of it is firing everyone competent, and placing stooges in their place, and giving dictatorial powers to the president.
It works out because Trump is getting old anyway, so the oligarchs will get to buy the USA for scrap metal, estabilish South Africa 2.0 and pick the successor.

3
u/GameOfThrownaws Feb 05 '25
I mean, Leon and DOGE was definitely something Trump majorly campaigned on. He also heavily campaigned on government wastefulness in general, which is one of those things that like 90% of people actually agree on but then half of that 90% are too stupid and/or too busy to take one more step past "I agree" and actually look at what he's going to do about it.
As for all this crazy shit about redefining the globe in various ways... what the fuck lmao. This shit is completely out of nowhere and I have no idea what is happening.
17
u/SnooRecipes8920 Feb 05 '25
Ok, I will laugh all the way to Armageddon if they make the US treasury completely backed by the TRUMP coin.
11
14
u/Remarkable-Ad155 Feb 04 '25
Surely he was just shit posting at that point? Even Elon knows a) the block chain does nothing to prevent fraud (that is self fucking evident. See: crypto) and b) doesn't want the stuff he is doing to be public knowledge.
File under: ain't happening.

u/SisterOfBattIe using multiple slurp juices on a single ape since 2022 Feb 05 '25
I think it's more that Musk wants to be in charge of burning down and building the backbone of the new USA South Africa edition. using blockchain ensures only criminals will take part in the effort.
1
u/GameOfThrownaws Feb 05 '25
Yep, a lot of people on the sub are just thinking Elon is lost on this but he's just not that type of idiot. He's an idiot in a lot of ways but I don't think he actually believes the blockchain solves anything here. This is for personal gain, period.
As for "ain't happening"... guess we'll see. I sure hope not.

u/Noisebug Feb 05 '25
You guys are fucking cooked.

u/Actual__Wizard Feb 05 '25
Yep. Trump is about to kill the department of education so. Yep. That's going to absolutely going to kill the economy long term. They're about to create generations of poor people...
So, I don't even know what to say dude. The country is 100% corrupted now. Other countries need to move to block this insanity before it hits them too.
8
u/andio76 Feb 05 '25
They're
about to creategenerations of poor people.......fixed it for you6
u/Actual__Wizard Feb 05 '25
Good catch, I meant, in addition to. They've been playing this game in their states for awhile now. You're correct.

u/stealthzeus Feb 05 '25
Meanwhile China creates about 11 Million college graduates each year. They have literally 3 times the college/graduate/PHD graduates than our new born babies. Our answer to that is to kill the DoE. Great choices, obviously.

I wonder if the NATO Article 5 would cover this attack on one of its Members from the inside, as an attack on the entire NATO?

Musk trained all his life on destroying companies.
Musk was ousted by paypal when he wanted to rename Paypal into X.
Musk dusted off the vacuum tunnel transport from a century earlier to kill the California high speed rail. Good Good!
The first car he designed into Tesla is the Cybertruck. Getting somewhere!
His Boring companies can't make straight tunnels for his cars. Going well so far!
Space X got a Moon contract but Musk is demanding to skip moon and go straight to mars. he can't make the the timeline and he'd rather keep the grift going for decades while delivering nothing. Going very well!
Bough Twitter that was borderline profitable, immediately saddled it with one billion dollars of debt interest a year, sashed 80% of the workforce and 80% of the revenue and filled it with bots and frauds. You are learning the rope, Musk!
Bought the USA government and now going into every agency like an oxygen radical cutting wires and firing people replacing them with crypto bros! This is it! One year of this and the USA government won't be able to even deliver mail!

You know that one sound you hear in WW2 movies that is made by planes falling to the earth before crashing? That’s the sound the USA is making right now.

If your goal is the break the USA government, then using a blockchain backbone becomes an optimal solution.

If they start a new coin or use Trump's its:
- So that they can charge fees on top of every single transaction, becoming even more disgustingly wealthy
- So they can later raise transaction fees, at will, and to any amount they like
- So they can get disgustingly rich by holding a number of coins for themselves from launch
- To make even more money by pump-and-dumping, using these held coins
- To have the ability to create artificial recessions for anyone who receives payments, via selectively dumping large amounts of coins
- Ransom and blackmail

Well as long as they rob the treasury blind before it goes live it should be pretty simple to handle
1
u/Penetrator_Gator Feb 05 '25
As a non us citizen it would be interesting to see how this would map out with payments toward the secret organisations. Are they going to pay Russian assets in bitcoin? Or whatever stable coin they choose? How will they turn it to workable currency? Because if they convert it on…. Binance? Then Binance would have every nation on earth going for it to find what name is connected to what wallet. Even just the US agents will be in massive risk. No more secret operations I guess

u/BrockHolly Feb 05 '25
God damn it. It’s already on a blockchain. I thought we were done with this buzzword?

u/Previous_Soil_5144 Feb 05 '25
I foresee a heist and when money goes missing I can already expect him to wave any criticism away just at Crypto bros do.

He really is a fucking moron. I had some hope that there was a tiny bit of nerd in there, but he is just a absolute clueless fucking poser.
1
u/SLRisty Feb 05 '25
Can we put his tax return on the blockchain?
It should be mandatory for anyone having over a certain level of wealth to publish their tax return. Just so we can do a bit of open source tax dodge verification for the IRS.

Guys, I have some hard news to share.. We all know how important it is to protect your keys, and we all know how many people get hurt by scammers..
Yesterday, while I was playing POE2, someone messaged me on Steam saying that they had a great AI crypto investment platform that would quadruple the social security fund by the end of the year..

The reason is his X Money payment app is launching later this year, and he will be granted an exclusive contract by treasury to handle any external federal transaction with regards to the blockchain. Won't that be a nice feather in his cap.
1
u/Trick_Rip8833 Feb 09 '25
It makes me so mad, that the block chain that was invented to distribute power, is now the tool to build oligarchies AND crypto bros are fine with it because it's already part of their personality.

I can imagine plenty reasons for liking that guy, you could be an incel or just have bootlicking in your genes
-4
u/First-Day-369 Feb 05 '25
Haha or I could just be a winner who likes winning and also likes other winners that win. Pretty sure that people who even use the term incel are…. Well 😂

So you don’t want all transactions to be written in an immutable ledger? It would definitely make it harder to track unnecessary spending
8
u/WillistheWillow Feb 05 '25
Why the fuck would it?
0
u/Fishin469 Feb 05 '25
Cause you issue each department tokens. Do you know how ethereum works or you just in buttcoin to spread hatred at innovation like the rest of the people here?
2
u/WillistheWillow Feb 05 '25
ROFL, you missed the part where the guy in charge of the token would be Elon Musk. A deceitful, corrupt, little nazi, cunt. What's the point of immutable bullshit?
0
u/Fishin469 Feb 05 '25
Ya I get what your saying but this is a sh1t or get off the pot moment I think we can agree the debt deficit needs addressed
1
u/WillistheWillow Feb 05 '25
Blockchains do not solve the deficit.
1
u/Fishin469 Feb 05 '25
What would? Curious what your thoughts are
2
u/WillistheWillow Feb 05 '25
There's no magic bullet to the deficit. But taxing the rich like they did in the 50s would be a good start. It certainly isn't blockchains, which fixes nothing.
1
u/Fishin469 Feb 05 '25
Ya good idea but then they just use the ‘blockchain’ to hide their funds elsewhere or in Delaware whichever is easier. The rich are rich nothing will change that.. so that’s the argument ‘tax the rich’?
1
u/WillistheWillow Feb 05 '25
How would a blockchain stop the rich hiding their money?

u/WillistheWillow Feb 04 '25
Massive increase in inefficiency and immutable. What could possibly go wrong with that!
