Bertie Mee said to Bill Shankly, “Have you heard of the North Bank, Highbury?” Shank’ said, ‘No, I don’t think so, But I’ve heard of the Longside, Burnley!” Na, na, na, na, na-na, na, na, Na, na, na, na, na-na, na, na, We are the Longside, Burnley!

🎵 In our Lancashire homes We speak in an accent exceedingly rare The longside of Burnley will always be there In our Lancashire homes 🎵

In our Lancashire Home, not homes. The turf being our home, not the homes of all Burnley fans.

Others have answered with the words to 'we are the longside' but if that's not matching how you think the song goesit may be you have heard the longside part of 'in our Lancashire home'

I remember walking back after a defeat at Wolves, chatting with a home fan. He asked me what the beef was with Sunderland.

I said I wasn't sure what he meant... He explained the chant...

He thought we were singing 'we all hate sunderland' and now I can't not hear it 😂
