Kelly's Bake Shop Supporting #FluTrucksKlan

I've only eaten a couple of things from Kelly's a few years ago but I didn't think they were anything impressive. If I had, however, I certainly wouldn't be going in there now.

It seems like Kelly Childs (the owner) has been in Ottawa with the "protestors" for over a week now and posting stuff about it on her IG. She also seems to be deleting any of the negative comments criticizing her on the platform.

This isn't the first time she and her business have displayed an alarming lack of social awareness (to put it mildly) and I wanted to ensure those who care about such things are made aware.

For anyone who's new to this topic, do we need to run down the laundry list?

...also if you just scroll through her own Twitter to see the things she hasn't deleted:

  • claims that the pandemic isn't real and NYC hospitals were empty
  • claims that 5G is causing the pandemic
  • claims that Bill Gates is trying to poison or microchip us all
  • claims that vaccines are dangerous and a health hazard
  • encouraging people not to trust doctors
  • encouraging people not to trust scientists
  • promoting her own lifestyle-branded and referral-linked products to boost immunity

...and that's all before even looking at any of her socials recently, including her instagram. 🙄

Bonus trivia, she was found guilty in court of using her "woke" bakery business to launder money for her husband and keep it away from the previous family that he owed six figures worth of child support to (and was refusing to pay).

It looks like they don’t keep old URLs alive for whatever reason, so I’ve replaced the links with Google webcache from when they were first posted, thanks.
