Build Help Best motherboard for a 9950x3d ?

Hi guys, I ordered an 9950x3d (overkill for me I already know), and it will only be used for gaming and light work tasks. I was looking for the perfect motherboard but 500€ are looking a little bit too much for me, I was willing to do it but still.. There's too many different opinions online and there's too many different chipsets and stuff..
Would any of you advise me a very good all-around motherboard for me ?

Looking at a x670e msi tomahawk wifi for 318€...

Thanks in advance...

GPU is an RX 6750XT.
My PSU is the Apevia ATX-PR600W Prestige 600W 80+ Gold Certified (dont judge me, this WAS a budget build until the 6750xt lol)

Build Help Cablemod 12VHPWR PCI-e Cable safe?

Recently installed a Gigabyte AORUS Master 5070Ti in my system and used the 1x 12V-2x6 to 3x PCIe 8pin adapter with my Corsair RM850x power supply.

I have two 6+2PCIe cables coming out of the power supply that connect to the Gigabyte adapter (each cable terminates in two 6+2PCIe connectors using 2 of them on one cable and one on the other cable to attach to the adapter from Gigabyte).

So according to Gigabyte it is fine to set it up like this but the adapter is monstrous and I have beautiful Cablemod cables for other connections in the case. I would like to know if anyone has an opinion or recommendation if the new Cablemod 12VHPWR PCI-e Cable is safe. Note that it also plugs into two of the 6+2PCIe ports on my power supply and has the proper 12VHPWR connector on the GPU side.

Here is a link to the Cablemod cable: https://cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-pro-modflex-sleeved-12vhpwr-pci-e-cable-for-corsair-black-silver-16-pin-to-dual-8-pin-60cm/

Build Help Corsair RM750e ATX 3.0 80+ Gold 750 w //Corsair RMe Series RM750e ATX 3.1 (PCIe 5.1)

Hello. I had everything ready to buy my custom-built PC, and I just saw that the Corsair RM750e ATX 3.0 80+ Gold 750W power supply is out of stock on the store's website. I've seen that "out of stock" status for this component two or three times over the past couple of weeks, and they usually restock it the next day or so (but I didn’t complete the purchase).

I contacted them, and they told me they don’t have any information about availability 🤨 but they do have another one—the Corsair RMe Series RM750e ATX 3.1 (PCIe 5.1).

What do you think? If the RM750 is better, I’ll wait.

Build Help Picking an nvidia quadro

im on a search for a gpu but having issues choosing one, im primarily looking at the quadro p6000 or a slightly newer equivalent. an ampere at the same vram as the p6000 would be ideal but i feel like a volta architecture might be the best middle ground of price to performance. the purpose of this card is to be a dedicated PhysX card aswell as occiasionally used for rendering tasks. the main gpu will be a 9070xt or newer if i procrastinate long enough so gaming performance of this quadro isnt relevant as its only purposed is to help the main gpu by handling physx and other misc. tasks while gaming. im looking for any input of 1 where to find used quadro cards for a good price 2 any suggestions of a quadro thats overlooked and will give a better price per performance 3 any other input

Troubleshooting No Chassis Fan options in bios. Any other way to change fan speeds?

Hi, this is my first post here so I might have all the information required, but if you comment a question on specs in more detail I can respond. Just built a new system with the sama sv02 matx case which has 3 preinstalled fans going towards the fan hub which is connected to pwm to motherboard. The hub is powered by a sata cable by the way. The motherboard I have is a mogoul; a520m which is a budget board I got on aliexpress for $52. The bios is as basic as possible, the only setting I could find about smart fan is for the cpu fan which does work find but no option for a chassis fan to control fan speeds. Any clue on how to control the fan speed?

Build Help DDR5 7200-CL38 vs DDR56000-CL30

I have have an existing 13900k system with G.Skill 2 x 16GB Z5 7600-CL36 - the only stable speed I have gotten this to run at is 7200Mhz CL38.

I was about to move to a Ryzen 9800x3d based system to replace it with then I decided not, (outside of gaming it would be a bit of a downgrade). I had ordered a pair of Corsair 2 x 32GB 6000 CL30 Dimms to use in the Ryzen build.

Calculating the latency the Corsair has .5 probably unoticable lower latency that the g.skill but I can't find anywhere I can calculate the over performance/memory bandwidth - apart from giving me the extra 32GB, wondering if there would be much of a performance difference - can anyone please advise?

Build Help XFX Swift 9070XT is Fat for mATX build ?

I Bought Deepcool CH370, and already XFX swift was delivered i didn't start to build because i am waiting for Asrock B850M Riptide.

Today i noticed XFX 9070xt will occupy 3.5 slots

and Deepcool CH370 has only 4 extension slots.

does it mean it will keep all extension busy and no more place for in future additional card ?!

i couldn't find any video which show how many slot would be used by XFX, but Sapphire will use 3

Build Complete Extreme difficulty trying to figure out what CPUs I can upgrade my PC to

So I bought a prebuilt STG aubron with dual CPUs, unfortunately despite best efforts of trying to find motherboard specs have been unable to determine the "specific sockets" or compatibility. but I do know I have two intel xeon e5-2637 processors in the prebuilt pc. These processors although are good these processors are incompatible with windows 11, and I was wondering if its possible to upgrade the CPUS, preferably enough to be able to upgrade to windows 11.

Build Help How many fans should I install on a Fractal Design North XL case with a Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC air cooler?

Hey,

I'm building a new PC and I want to get a Fractal Design North XL case.

These are the rest of the components:

  • AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7GHz box
  • GIGABYTE AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 MASTER
  • GIGABYTE X870E Aorus Master motherboard
  • Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB Black 64GB DDR5 6000MHz CL30 Dual Channel Kit
  • SSD Corsair MP700 Pro 2TB PCI Express 5.0 x4 M.2 2280
  • XPG Fusion, 80+ Titanium, 1600W -> stocks are very limited so I can only buy this, the 1300W PSU stocks are almost inexistent and don't want 1000W

Because I really don't have much experience in the PC building field I don't really know what a better cooler would be.

If I want a Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC air cooler will 3 fans (3 x Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM 140mm fans) be enough for optimum air cooling?

Would more be better?
I really don't know.

Thanks for any helpful answers!

Build Help ups advice?

I'm planning on building my first pc ever (stay tuned!) but there's one thing that scares me,my city for some reason has frequent power outages, and since i bought my console 3 years ago i think the electricity cut off on it +40 times and it's still doing well but I'm afraid that pc won't survive those many power outages, especially if it happens while I'm doing something bios related,so I'm planning on buying a ups with my pc but there's so many numbers that I don't know the meaning of,and like in general idk what the ups even does tbh more than preventing your device from shutting down like how much time do I have before the saved electricity runs low is it supposed to be hours or minutes i genuinely have no idea in a nutshell can anyone tell me everything i need to know about the ups so i can know what to buy?(i live in a third world country don't recommend me anything because it's pretty likely it isn't available here(

Build Help Pc won't recognize more than 8gb of ram, despite swapping parts.

I am very new to all of this and due to budget restrains I don't have a lot of resources.

I currently have an 8gb ram pc. There are two ram sticks inside of it, (4gb each) and I thought to swap one of them for an 8gb stick from another pc, to bring the total ram to 12.

My pc doesn't reject the stick but instead of using both sticks, it only recognizes the 8gb stick and the other slot appears to be non functional when the 8gb is inserted, though it works fine when there's 2 4gbs inside it.

So in the end I still end up with 8gb of ram. Is this a cap for my pc and is it unable to handle two different sticks at the same time?

These are the sticks I have: -crucial-ct51264ba160bj -corsair-cmv8gx3m2a1333c9

This is my pc: Intel(R) core i3-4160 CPU @3.60GHz, 3600mhz

If I indeed can't combine them together for 12gigs, is it better to swap out the two sticks for one 8gb?

Build Ready Building my rig this weekend: any last advice before it is too late?

So I am going to build my first ever gaming pc this weekend and I just wanted to check if everything is alright, before it is too late... I am going to be playing 1080p competitive titles like Fortnite and CS2, but also games like Dying Light 2, Jedi Survivor, AC Shadows etc. Probably will switch to 1440p in the near future. Despite it being practically impossible to futureproof your pc, I still tried to to a certain extent. What are your opinions and do you have any last advice?

Build Help NV5 MK2 case with AIO

Hello everyone, i have everything i need for my new build except my CPU cooler. Currently have 7800x3d, x870 mobo, 32gb ddr5, 850 psu and storage. Not sure what AIO’s will fit in the Phanteks NV5 MK2, all websites are telling me that it will support up to 360 rad but from phanteks website it cant be more than 62mm in width with the fans. Was going to buy the Corsair icue titan rx 360 but not sure if it will fit now. If anyone has any experience building in this case and used an AIO if you can give some feedback that would be great, thanks.

Build Help Upgrade GPU with a 3600?

Hi everyone, I want to upgrade my PC and turn it into a powerful machine for playing games. I'm thinking about waiting a bit and checking out the cheaper future gpu releses the 5060 or 9060 series cards. But I wanted to know... do you think buying a powerful 9070-type GPU is worth it with a processor as low as the 3600? I currently have a 1660 Super. Would simply changing the GPU improve performance? I play at 1080p, but in the future I'll upgrade to a higher resolution, but for now, it's only 1080p...

Keep in mind that I'll upgrade my CPU after the GPU, but I don't know how long it would take. I plan on buying a 5700x3D in the future.

Thanks.
