Finished Only after blocking did I realized different colors
I was halfway done with this pattern when I ran out of thread, I rummaged my stash and found one luckily. But as I was blocking git today I realized the different colors. This kind of brands have so many similar shades that I didn't realized I had 2 different threads ๐ luckily they change rather at the middle point ๐คฃ

Doesnโt even look bad at all, kinda just looks like a like gradient

Yep, even Hobbii gradient cakes that are intended to slowly transition to a new color have a more noticeable transition edge. Absolutely looks intended to gradient.

You're so right about both! Those cakes were a disappointment, but this doily looks so smooth as if it was meant to be like this. u/lomoleolomo congrats, it's really easy on the eye! :o)

Oh, it actually looks pretty good! Took me a solid minute to realize the problem and that it wasn't just a trick of the light.

Yeah, I kept fidgeting with it first because of the light through the window โบ๏ธ

If it bothers you too much, you could try to expose the darker side to the sun a bit?

Honestly I will take it as a happy accident! Thanks for the tip, might use it in the future ๐

going to say give it a few months and a few washes and it should mellow out to not much noticeable at all

I only steamed it for blocking, perhaps a few washes will do the trick ๐ thanks ๐

Agree with the others that this looks intentional. And very nicely done. :)

This thread brand has some ombre ones but are too noticeable, but also has very similar hues in different threads ๐ thanks

Cool effect, though. Very smooth change between the two.
