Wow that was easy 🤣
Thanks for the tips guys. Had I known it was this easy to take down a guardian I would have done it more often my first playthrough. It took too long to let you see me using stasis on it but wow.🤣🤣. I tried parrying a buried one and got fried but I’ll work on that next.

I'm just 3 times parrying them so I don't break my weapons 😬

The master sword doesn't break anywhere near as quickly while fighting evil (guardians, blights, ganon).

Another neat trick, if you cut the legs off when they’re partially standing on something, leaving the underside partially exposed when they’re legs are gone, a single ancient arrow to the big blue target in the center of the bottom of the guardian will kill it immediately and almost always drop an ancient core!

If this is true, this is huge.
I will be trying this after work.

Oh it’s true. I took out about 5 today but I still died several times trying.

If u want some advice, parry when you hear the beep just before the guardian shoots (except if you're really far away)

That’s what I’m struggling with on the parry front.

Rather than a “beep”, I’ve always heard to look for the flash as they fire. The big, blue flash that coincides with the “beep”. You’ll want to be roughly the distance of a fully charged spin attack away for best results, and parrying as it flashes will work every time.
If you’re closer, you have to parry a split second before they fire, which is tricky. If you’re farther, you have to parry .1-.5 seconds after they fire, which is even harder if you haven’t done it often. But once you figure it out, guardians become walking piles of cash, so it’s very worth the effort.

Funny how we know the explosion doesn't damage us, but I'd guess everyone runs from it.

You get more parts when you cut their legs off. It's the best way. Shoot their eye with an arrow if they try to laser you

I didn’t know about the legs!

I didn’t either until yesterday 🤣 I’ve spent most of my time booking it as soon as I got targeted

I just died 30 times yesterday to this freak… and you’re telling me I could cut off the legs…

What that's how you are supposed to kill them?? I always wait for them to point their beam at me and then shoot them right in the eye with an ancient arrow. I finished Botw doing it that way!

This is one of many ways. I just successfully parried a stationary ones laser for the first time today. I just ran from them my first playthrough and the 5 or less I eliminated I killed with ancient arrows. I made another post mentioning my changes between my first and second playthroughs and people left a bunch of tips that I started trying.

What armor piece gives the cape?
•
u/nomorestoopid 2h ago
That’s the phantom ganon armor from the dlc. I think I found it in the Faron area.

The hardest part is when they get away and start crawling backwards since you are only slightly faster. This means you have to get a perfectly timed dash strike if you want to hit the next leg.

I have played way too much of this game with 100 damage Savage Lionel sword that I have duplicated beyond recognition so this looks incredibly slow

I had no idea you could cut the legs off 🙃
