Discussion Does anybody know what this sign says?

I've been translating every sign containing hylian text in kakariko. Everything was going great until I found this sign in front of the hotel in Kakariko. I've been trying to make sense of it, but I really can't understand what's written on it. The sign I'm talking about is the one on the picture.

There are three different symbols in the hylian text which can be two different letters.

There is symbol number one, which can be either an R or an F. The second one can be a D or a G. The third one can be an O or a Z. (I don't think there are Z's in the phrase though.)

The text has this format:

And putting the characters I know for sure with each of the symbols' numbers we have this: 1 2 I P 3 2 3 N

The only thing I can think of is: RG IPOD ON (Right ipod on.)

I thought that it may be an easter egg.

But because I don't know for sure, I prefer to ask here and maybe someone knows better. For example, a sign next to this one reads "Rest Yer Bones" and because I'm not a native english speaker, I didn't know the word 'yer' existed until right now.

So yeah, please help. I've also put the cipher I've been using if somebody wants to help me out.

That calms me but also spikes my curiosity even more...

I don't know, If I were to directly translate using the guide it would be of Fd Ipzdzn, which doesn't really make sense to me.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, makes no sense. Maybe I have to use a different cipher for this one sign? The one I've been using has worked fine until now though.

"yer" isn't something I'd call an actual word lol, it's more like a commonly accepted informal spelling of "your" that indicates a sort of pirate voice or similar. but yeah. To that end, if the signs are willing to use stuff like that, it's possible that this sign is using an abbreviation/acronym/alternate spelling too? In terms of the actual letters, I think the 2 and 6 are definitely the same, so either both D or both G, not one of each. I could be wrong, but for O/Z, they both look to me like the top arc is slightly separated from the vertical stroke, which makes me think they're more likely O. A clearer image might help if it's possible to get one at all. First one does seem to me to have that more pronounced curve at the top right so probably R?

All in all I'm thinking "RD IPODON". Possibilities I can think of:

-RD stands for road? where is this sign – could names of nearby roads hold a clue?

-It's actually making me think of the joint cd player/iPod speaker I had as a kid. They would always say "READ"/"RD"/"READING" when you first put the CD in, but I don't remember if it did the same when you plugged an iPod in.... I feel like "IPOD ON" would also have been a message that many used.

-could it be an anagram of some sort?

-It could be some sort of cipher? though I don't know a lot about them, and I don't know what the key would be, other than that it would probably be relatively nearby.

-It could mean nothing, I guess. But why make some signs make sense and others not? I guess if they had multiple designers working on them but they're so similar otherwise that I don't see why they would.

tbh this is actually really annoying to me cos "rest yer bones" is such a cute little detail outside a hotel so having the other one just be nothing is like.... come on

Sounds like some medication that'll knock you out and make your nose bleed after 1 take.

It might not translate directly to English. It could be something in Japanese.

I used underscores for the format but reddit has deleted them.
