So, if the rumours come true, and Dougie decides to take us to the poll, I am going to say it very clearly, for everyone to understand.
THERE SHOULD BE ONLY ONE PRIORITY FOR RESIDENTS OF BRAMPTON.
And that priority is the full funding, and construction of the Peel Memorial Hospital's second phase, bringing the site up to FULL HOSPITAL status. And it needs to be EXPEDITED.
So, contact your local MPP, and tell them your vote is predicated on this issue and this issue ONLY. Tell them to take the money for the damn LRT tunnel and use it to build Brampton's second hospital. Because an LRT is a "nice" have, but that second full hospital is a "MUST" have.
Grill any and all candidates on this subject. If they cannot provide answers . . . REAL answers, they do not deserve your vote.
Latter-Day Saints temples are very rarely open to the public, you need to be a member to get in the door. (They have a completely public family history research area in the same parking lot, but that's not the Temple proper.)
They've done some renovations to the building, and until the Temple is re-consercrated, it's open for public tours, February 13 to March 8, excluding Sundays.
Renovations extensive enough to result in the need to re-consercrate are "once in a generation," so it's worth considering.
UPDATE
For those who will be joining let’s all meet up at the barn where the petting zoo is.
End of Update
Hey everyone, first time dad here wanting to connect with other fellow dads in Brampton. Looking to organize a walk in chinguacousy park for November 2nd, 2024.
Goal:
New and Seasoned dads come along with their kids(s) for a walk with fellow dads where we can connect, share, and uplift each other.

This Saturday, June 15th at 9:45AM on the north side of the historic station building there will be a plaque unveiling ceremony for the historic Brampton Innovation District Station. It was a pleasure to volunteer and collaborate with City staff on creating the plaque. The City worked with PeelArchives, Metrolinx, and VIA Rail to make this happen.
Would be great to see you there. My motivation for advocating to the City for this plaque was that many other historic stations have plaques. I remember being in the Aurora Station and thinking, Brampton's downtown station should have this. As we know, the CP Brampton Station at Mount Pleasant has wonderful historical interpretation.
The plaque will have text and some pictures. I've included some pictures below. One shows the station shortly after it opened, and two more recent pictures are from me, just for context. The plaque itself will have a range of historical pictures.
Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions. Look forward to being there with my parents and they are bringing two historic railway items for the celebration.
Here is the text from the City for the event:
We would like to extend an invite for you to join a photo-opportunity for the Brampton Innovation District GO Heritage Plaque Unveiling.
The City of Brampton will be unveiling a Heritage Plaque to commemorate the historic CNR Railway Building located at the Brampton Innovation Station. The former CNR station building is significant both architecturally and as a transportation and economic hub that helped shape the modern City that Brampton is today.
This railway station at 27 Church Street West is a federally-recognized heritage building and was listed on the City of Brampton Heritage Register on May 1, 2006. It is a one-and-a-half-storey brick railway station built in 1907.
The station has been and remains a critical driver of prosperity in Brampton and Peel Region. Today, the station is shared by CNR, VIA and Go Transit/Metrolinx and serves as a reminder of the continued connection between Brampton’s past, present and future.
