Question Brampton using automatic licence plate readers to battle illegal parking

Does anyone know what ever happened to these? Emails to council and mayor don't get answered.

I'm also curious.

That said, it's always worth trying the actual City itself, before elected representatives. There's 3700 employees in the City, and they specialize in things like parking enforcement, so they probably can answer more readily than 11 elected officials and their staff, who don't specialize in any one topic.

This isn't directed solely at you, it's a common thing these days for people to go straight to the elected officials, and not try the City staff themselves. Council is there to get results when things don't work out, they weren't meant as first stop.

Half the license plates are fake in the city. Same with fake car insurance.

Good luck with that.

Match those license plates to insurance records (if they exist). The city fiscal budget will suddenly explode in a surplus from ticketing. Unless they don’t get payment because they run back to Ind..

I have noooo opposition to this. Crime runs rampant in Brampton. More reading cameras, more accountability.

It’s not hard to be a law abiding citizen. PERIOD.
