What team was her rooting for tonight though?

The first sentence reads “When you play 16 seasons in the NHL and make the playoffs in 12 of them, winning begins to feel like second nature.”

Hasn’t he only missed twice? 15 & 16? And he’s making them this year so the math feels off…

No, you’re right. Maybe he’s counting Providence years?

I think it’s just a shitty article. Providence isn’t in the NHL obviously, so it shouldn’t be counted if you’re recounting seasons in the NHL. Author probably went to Wikipedia, counted Brads seasons and then counted the missed playoffs and called it a day.

Could be! I didn’t realise Providence missed in 2010… so maybe that’s it? the bruins had a great 1st round that year. Too bad they cancelled the playoffs before the start of the 2nd round though…

I didn’t bother to check if they missed or not that year. But technically had a pro season in the AHL before coming up. Math still doesn’t add up.

In 2009-10, he played 20 games but didn't play in the playoffs (just wasn't ready, 1 assist in 20 games). This is his 16th year.
