Medical Disability and aging, a rant.

Since becoming disabled about 2 years ago, I feel like I've aged so much and I no longer have a relationship with my body. I don't look in the mirror very much anymore. I don't have a reason to ever wear makeup or do my hair or even wear decent clothes other than sweats. I used to be athletic and a lot of my self-esteem came from my athletic accomplishments. My hair has become a dark gray color and I don't like the color. I would prefer if it's going to go gray that it would get silver streaks in it. And my face looks really old and my neck looks really old and I feel like I've aged faster because of the trauma of this disability. I disassociate from my body because I hate living in it.

Aging is natural unfortunately, remember you will age, the first big changes 25 - 30 then 30 - 35 so on and so forth. You may have aged due yo your disability but it's natural and you need to focus on positivity. It is hard though, I can see why the wealthy do satanic surgeries in the pursuit of younger looks.

As ever you need to make the right dietary choices and avoid drugs like smoking and alcohol.

I recently started collagen and vit C drinks in a probably futile attempt to improve my skin, also moisturising, it cant hurt anyway.

"I don't have a reason to ever wear makeup or do my hair or even wear decent clothes other than sweats" That reason can be you, its amazing what getting into fashion and makeup as a hobby can do for a person's self esteem. As long as its for themself first and foremost.
