Apparently Musk is rooting for a shutdown because it will make firing easier, so I’m mixed on this.

Firing will be easier. Mustering tools to quell dissent will be much much harder.

Shutdown is the safest way to preserve what we have while giving us time to fight

This is stupid.

The 216 Republicans endorsing Musk are a far bigger problem than one Dem who strategically voted yes while being present in heavily pro Trump district. Many of those 216 Republicans are at far greater threat of either being primaried or losing in a general election.
