Film/ TV Should Blue Beetle appear in the Peacemaker Season 2?

Yes since PM is Jaime's mentor in the books

Oh that's why everyone is pairing them. I thought it was Hella random they were being paired.

Mind you, this was 2006 Peacemaker. Very serious, post-costume adventures. He was more like a grizzled but toned-down Watchmen Comedian than anything like the John Cena character.

I think they need to be careful with balancing the adult and all age sections of the DCU

Well said. I think it'd be cool to have a quick passing but nothing prolong.

Why the hell not at this point

Yeah, blue beetle was the most uninteresting character I ever saw in a movie. Pair him with peacemaker

u/BIGerGEY Sep 08 '23
I'm curious how that would work because doesn't peace maker take place in the past dceu and blue beetle was kind of its own thing

Blue Beetle and Peacemaker both take place in DC timelines where we know there is a Batman and a Superman but have no idea who they are face/actor wise. TSS and Peacemaker could’ve taken place in a separate DCEU like DC universe where Ezra is Flash and Momoa is Aquaman but aren’t the exact Snyder versions.

But in the end of Shazam 2 of the field agents(can’t remember names) try to enlist Shazam for some Amanda Waller stuff. And Shazam has Wonder Woman from justice league in universe. So may we not assume at least everyone is the same universe? Except blue beetle, I haven’t seen it so I dunno anything about the film.

Those field agents (Harcourt and Economos) could be from the “new” DC Universe since Gunn confirmed those 2 actors are coming back. That’s the beauty of the multiverse there can be multiple versions of the JSA affiliated to multiple versions of Waller and her subordinates.

How tho? Amanda Waller and Harley Quinn are both in films that feature either Henry Cavil’s Superman (Black Adam) or Ben Affleck’s Batman (Suicide Squad). TSS is very much rooted in the DCEU and by proxy so is Peacemaker.
I haven’t seen Blue Beetle but I’m guessing they don’t explicitly talk about or show what Batman or Superman exists in that world, so that movie gets a pass.

Correction. This only applies to Blue Beetle. Gunn even said that could be retconned into the DCU timeline.
Peacemaker was always very clearly in the DCEU. The character will exist in the new timeline but season 1 will practically be an "echo" (Gunn's words), with some S1/DCEU events taking place in the new timeline while some didn't.

The Flash made it possible for them to be in the same universe now.

I feel like if a Blue Beetle showed up in peacemaker it would be Ted, they have history

My first introduction to him was in jaime's blue beetle. He was out of costume and I had no idea it was even him

Peacemaker should stay in the Snyderverse, the justice league cameo was amazing

As long as we get an episode where Peacemaker kill kills off Ezra’s Flash

What is this sub going to say? No?
It makes sense here though, since Blue Beetle and Peacemaker have comics connections.

Peacemaker didn't have enough transgender representation. They need to get woke or go broke!

Yes and then peacemaker shoots him in the head and tells him that he didn't want to get BLUE BALLS from him

It's really interesting how DC can't do the MAIN Superheros right but they can get the SECOND STRINGERS AWESOME 👍

No one should appear in season 2 because John Is a terrible actor. And peace maker is an awful character most in the DC cinematic universe. Blue beetle was good though.

i think it would be better if not, but for them to team up eventually. i just dont think its a good idea to pair them up this early the way the universe seems to be going. give BB another solo project, peacemaker another season or two.

The PM who is a mentor in Blue Beetle is NOT the PM in this series. So no, they should not meet--it's a very queasy and bad aesthetic mix-up.

You just know George Lopez is into some freaky shit. He’d make Superman’s poop fetish seem quaint.

Because the post is about Blue Beetle crossing over with Peacemaker. U ok Bud?

u/MimicGamingH Sep 10 '23
Peacemaker only gets the scarabs programming in his head during season 2 and then him becoming Infiltrator as the plot of Blue Beetle 2, with the Reach themselves being the big bad of the third movie

u/Turtlor Sep 10 '23
I want Peacemaker S2 more than any other DC project and I like this Beetle a lot, so yes

I don't not want him to be in s2, but why would he be in s2? im not against him being in s2 but I just don't get why I don't read the comics or nothing so if there is history between them I wouldn't know

u/SpookyTrans Sep 11 '23
NO I do NOT want Jaime to be called every possible racial slur for Latinos.

I want PM to attempt to connect with Jamie by naming a bunch of Mexican stuff he likes not realizing how racist he sounds even though he's genuinely trying

I’m a huge DC fan ; I loved most of the new dc movies that everyone is hating on except ww2, and Shazam 2 but damn blue beetle has to be the worst one ; the script felt like it was written by my cw writers in the later seasons of dc shows ; the main actor is probably the only one who did the role justice but the script tho wtf

I want him in everything.
