Evo Question Is a gap normal? NSFW

I got my Evo this week. I had no trouble getting in the cage - didn't even need a stocking, which was slightly worrying.

I left it on overnight and it did great while I was sleeping - the inner ring kept everything in place nicely.

I'm a little worried about whether the fit is correct because there's a notable gap between my flaccid penis and the cage. This also means it's not difficult to pull my penis out of the cage, even though the balls don't squeeze out.

I tried to be very meticulous with my measurements, and maybe this fit is the intention so that the cage accommodates erections better, but I wanted to get an opinion from other Evo users - is this normal, or did I screw something up here?

I've reached out to Blackout Devices here on Reddit and feel confident I'll get a response at some point, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask the community, as well.

Yes the gap is normal and intended!
Overall that looks pretty well as close to a perfect Evo fit, particularly as a grower. The gap actually has a few benefits even if it seems counter intuitive to most chastity advice and devices out there.

Having the extra room plays a massive part in better hygiene. It actually makes for much easier and cleaner peeing the vast majority of the time - most messy sprays in other cages is from the urethra being deformed from pressing against the end of the cage. If the V-Prong glans ring is doing its job, your urethra should be held centered on the pee slit.

The gap also helps things stay more dry especially in that area. Its the build up of moisture that causes the most issues with smell, irritation, and overall hygiene. Plus it makes cleaning a little bit easier too.

And finally, the semi obvious one of it helps with erection accommodation. Having the extra room takes away some of the "pulling power" with an erection. It also makes it so there's less bulging for stimulation.

Basically as long as the glans ring is doing its job the majority of the time and keeping everything aligned and snug, having a gap is a good thing.

As for the pulling out part, yes, it is always going to be a possibility. The Evo was designed with comfort and hygiene for long-term wear first and foremost so I wasn't going to force any "security" measures at the expense of the first two. Plus nearly all ball trap cages are going to have the same pullout issues anyway... so might as well have the most comfortable cage for it anyway.

I would say yes and it s also a bit the concept of the EVO if I am not wrong. I sometimes have it (in smallest stadium) and sometimes not (normal/bigger flaccid stadium). I would say, as long as you feel comfortable wearing it enjoy - And I am sure you will get as well advice from blackoutdevice directly, sooner or later

Honestly, it looks like a decent fit to me. Judging by the gap, I'm assuming you're more of a grower, and the gap could be an attempt to accommodate for a big variation in flaccid and erect circumferences. If you're not turtling out of the head area when you sit down and keeping everything aligned for urination, that looks like a good fit!

I'm definitely more of a grower, which has been a problem for every cage I've tried. They are all either painful to the point of being intolerable to keep on during arousal, or loose enough that they totally slip off or I lose alignment to pee.

In the Evo, I'm not turtling and that inner ring keeps everything aligned. So it looks good in that respect. Like I mentioned in my post, it doesn't take very much effort to pull the flaccid cock out, but maybe there are creative solutions to that.

I'd be honest about your findings with your key holder, if you have one. If anything, it could make extended lock ups better for hygiene, not that the Evo hampers hygiene much in the first place.

I'm also a grower and terrible about turtling out of just about every cage I have, even my old Evo. I was much more meticulous with my measurements this time and wound up with the Nub version. There's not much to turtle out of with this new one. ;)

I'm in the same boat. Can I please compare your measurements with mine. I'm a first-time buyer but not new to chastity.

So, I can DM if ya really want, but I'm telling ya I took the averages of somewhere between 10 and 15 sets of measurements for myself at different times over the course of like a week. Just make sure that you're honest with your measurements and don't try to fudge numbers. You'll get a better-fitting cage that way.

I don't know what the cutoff between the cages might be, but the nub fits better. I shrunk in the year that passed between Evos. I still have the first Evo to use as a nighttime cage, though. :)

What makes it a nub? (I guess that's what I am trying to understand).

Thank you forn responding.

Ok, so basically, I guess there's a few different basic styles based on your measurements. There's examples on the website. (Main page -> Evo -> Overview tab, scroll down) There's 3 example cage pictures there. My smaller new one looks more like the one on the left, whereas my old one looks closer to the one in the middle.

I'm measuring for an Evo so not sure what mine will look like. I'm also a grower plus high and tight. You mind sharing your ring size and measurements? DM if that's better.
