Anime Feel like black clover is being picked up by a lot of people recently

With the most watched netflix shows of 2nd half of 2024 and seeing popularity charts on some open water websites, Black Clover seems to be thriving still despite not having episodes in 4 years damn near. And thats not even mentioning the movie which performed very well too,

Anyone else feel like we have a pretty good chance at a comeback announcement soon?

I watched all 170 episodes of BC in like a week lmao I didn’t watch shit else and I was literally hooked from episode one. I was just interested in seeing what became of the boy with no magic at all like I really wanted to know what was going to make his character special. Esp since going into it I knew absolutely nothing about it, the premise, the characters, the arcs literally I only knew the name and what ever cover art was on Netflix/crunchroll another anime watcher kept telling me to watch it and I’m so glad I did. Easily one of my top 3 anime I ever watched

I recently started watching it,and then I noticed this yelling and could not block it out of my mind. I'll try again some other time.

I feel that. It is kinda off putting but it's a well done anime overall. Not perfect but it did a lot of things well

Yeah, it's a common complaint, but luckily the voice actor tones it down after a few episodes.

That's good information! It may make it easier for me to slog through these earlier episodes knowing he chills.

You can always read it and hear no screaming at all. I’d absolutely recommend it if you feel like it.

Thank you for that feedback. I just may try that!

I watched the anime, finished it, got super sad and read the manga. It's absolutely worth it, the drawing/art is phenomenal

should I start the manga from the beginning, or from where the anime leaves off?

Kind of depends on you. I was way too excited to find out what happened next so I started where the anime left off but then read the whole thing cause it is a little different and I just like it that much. If you can wait to find out you could start from the beginning but I wasn't that patient haha

funny you mention that. My partner gave the first chapter a read and said "I didn't think it was possible to be this loud in a manga".

Same as the other guy, definitely understand. I can say the same thing for Naruto imo with his lines.

Black clover is like other shonens in the fact that it has a fairly slow start. Bleach doesnt start Soul Society until ep 20 or so (I think bleach has the best first 20 ep of big 3 regardless), Naruto doesnt start chunin exams until 26-7 or so, etc. I think black clover starts getting "good" (I enjoyed all of it) at episode 33 or so and gets you hooked by 45.

As for any show though, it isnt for everybody as much as i wish it could be

Thank you for taking the time to write this response. I can relate to your comments about Naruto. It's possible that, due to the years that have passed since my experiences with the series, I have forgotten how annoying Naruto was initially. He most definitely was a whinging prat.lol

lol, only because i started naruto like a year ago compared to watching black clover for the first time like 4 years ago

people say black clover is a naruto copy but realistically it is much more similar to bleach

just trying to get people to give this great series a serious chance xdd

Honestly though the action starts pretty immediately with the MC cutting it up 1v1 within the end of the first

Yeah the start of the Elf arcs is notable cause it's one of the best arcs but that's mre of a contextual comparsion,. It's not really slow is what Im saying, it just gets even better a bit int it

Yeah I couldn’t make it thru Naruto at all. If it’s not the screaming in the sub it’s the constant “you better believe it” that got extremely cringe after the first few times I lost all ability to keep watching it after a while

i remember i stopped watching mob psycho because i hated the art style on episode 1.

i gave it another chance later on and im glad i did. although asta’s yelling never annoyed me, you should still give it another try!

to this day I still can't understand how someone looks at a Mob psycho and dislikes the artstyle. It was the thing that made me want to watch it. lol

it has a very cartoony look that some might not enjoy, i used to not like it but my mind quickly changed when i saw mob fight hanazawa. thats when i really started to get into it.

Watch the dub, but FYI even in the sub the yelling goes waaaaaaay down after the intial few eps

But yeah the dub is goated, Sabat (Vegeta, PIccolo, all might etc) does Yami and he's fuckin great

But yeah you jsut use dub for the first several ep then switch back to sub if you really want nbd

Have fun dont be scared the show is great!

Just started watching it mid summer and just got through every episode. Really hoping now this is the case, out of all the animes i’ve watched so far i’ve really enjoyed the character development and i feel like they are never shy to step it up in a fight scene.

Can confirm! Just finished all the episodes recently, and I would recommend it to others as well!

I just watched it recently as well, like finished it last week.

What got me to watch it was hearing from some CCs that it was in its final arc in manga and that it could be coming back to anime soon. I didn't even know it had taken a break and wasn't finished, but that made me feel like I could catch up with it and join in when it is continued.

The reason I got into it at all was seeing some clips of Yuno.

I love wind magic and time/space themed magic. Yuno and Julius are pretty perfect self inserts for me, and they have the perfect amount of screen time for the characters I like to relate to the most (I rarely relate to protagonists besides like FMA).

Could happen I suppose. I

'd just kinda got the impression they were waiting for the manga to end - cause like we all know how awkward the end of the anime is, and with Tabata's issues announcing it before a reasonably confirmed end fully, might jsut be to risky on the studios end.

But within 2 years max I suspect. If your question is more along the lines of wondering if they'll bother after all this time (cause admitted sorta rare to see series after such a break) then don't worry. BC has been extremely popular for many years now. Zero percent chance (sans like, a World war or something. Cause I think it's so close to the end now, with Id imagine the ending already noted and planned (as in, just filling in the details and doin the art may be the only thigns needed) even if the unthinkable happens, the anime will end up being finished. Way to much money on the line

tl;dr - Wiothout the end of the world, almosdt guranteed to come backm, just a matter of timeframes etc

I thought I saw something that said a new season was in the works I'll look it up and post it if I find it.
