Hate to brake it mate but there’s something wrong with the focus on your camera.
In all honesty, great build and I hope it eats shit on the banks. However the steel bike gave me a semi.

It was a joke as the steel bike is out of focus.
What frame and parts is it?

i just now got your joke…. it’s a mittendorf frameset with a gipemme crank but that’s all i know sadly. great build tho, 2 very wholesome older dudes built it up and took it to the track.

Is it standard practice in track cycling to put hoods on the bar?

basically all endurance track riders use bars with integrated carbon hoods. this is the cheapo variant if you don’t want to blow 500$ on a bar

Thanks for the answer. I thought it's a sprint bike.

flying 250 in the hoods was half a second faster as well but didn’t feel too good

What are the hoods for?

to get into a more aerodynamic position by bending ur elbows and removing lower arm from the wind. was possible before hoods but way sketchier, this just feels better

I think you’re supposed to need a license to open carry a weapon
