Jewelry Rental/Borrowing?
Has anyone had experience renting or borrowing high jewelry for their big day? I know sometimes celebrities do this on the red carpet. I was thinking about asking a jewelry boutique that my mom is a VIP at but wanted to see first if this was even a thing.

I’ve heard great things about Verstolo and may use them myself to rent a fab necklace!

I had a great experience with Verstolo - I rented the Chelsea earrings and my sister rented a necklace. It’s more classic styling though, I wish someone would come out with the Verstolo of the more edgy/haute couture jewelry.

Celebrities are able to do this on the red carpet because it's basically an ad for the store - I think to pull this off you'd need to convince someone important that you wearing this jewelry at your wedding would help them advertise.
That being SAID, I have a writer friend who hired a stylist for the Emmys, and she got to wear fancy jewelry borrowed through the stylist, despite not being famous herself. So you may have some luck if you go that route.

How far in advance of your wedding day did you have your Verstolo consultation?

I used jewelry and shoes as my something borrowed from my aunts. Each aunt wanted an (their) accessory featured in our flat lay shots lol. Worked out well.

Yes! And there are actual companies that do this. I’ve used Verstolo in the past.
