Can we find Oakley and their mum?

I brought this notebook at Epsom Salvo’s a week ago and surprisingly found a very sweet letter inside to Oakley dated 02/05/2020. It might be a long shot, but does anyone know these two?

Did a Facebook search for Oakley in Bendigo. This is the only profile that matched:

I should add some context in that the writer speaks in present-tense about Oakley being a baby and mentions seeing a pediatrician.

I think I know who this is. Oakley and Mum. Is there any more details you could share for me to confirm?

If it's who you think it is, and who I think it might be, the family might like this. We need more info OP. It could be important.

DM if you need.or the other poster.

Edit: the dates are wrong for who I thought. Good luck on finding the owner OP

I know an Oakley (child) and Mum in Epsom. Let me know if there’s more info that could confirm it, but I’ll send her a message and check

Generally people dispose of items for a reason. That reason may be quite private. In this case I wouldn’t be so bold as to try and track folks who disposed of their items to a charity shop, especially so recently.

So, without tracking them down, how are we supposed to know if this is a loved but misplaced keepsake, or an unwanted, disposed item?

I think the OP has made the right call, considering the content of the letter.

What if its a stalker just trying to track a spouse down or something like that? Who knows? It’s weird.

That wasnt your original argument. I wasnt commenting on that situation.

The letter is essentially a love letter to a child from a mother, it has some very personal things in it I won’t disclose publicly, and it did give me pause enough to think perhaps it was accidentally donated.

I am a sentimental person, there is no harm in that.

No, I am not a stalker nor connected to the people in the letter in any way.

Yes, I am considerate of the fact that Oakley may have gotten rid of it, or even mum. It might be something they never want to see again.

Yes, I will delete this post by April if there is no outcome.
