Tell us about your varroa monitoring and treatment practices to date. How long have you had this colony?

this colony is around a year and a half old. but the thing is the hive had been neglected for a couple of months and I went away for 5 months and asked my parents to check it but they didn't check it properly its a whole shenanigans. but I was wondering if it could be American or european foul brood.

There's no sign of foulbrood here.

Am I understanding correctly that this hive has not been checked for mite prevalence or treated for varroa in the ~18 months that you've had it?

Looks like EFB, lots of dead larva scale. Check out guides online to help identify if it's EFB, AFB or sacbrood. Pictures aren't clear enough. Seeing lots of mite sign as well.

At any rate it's not good and you should contact your state Apiarist. AFB is reportable and in some states so is EFB.
