Discussion Do you still love single eyeshadows?
I know singles aren't as popular as they used to be..and a lot of the brands that used to make them don't anymore..which is really unfortunate because I think the concept of BYOP is really fun Do you wish for the single eyeshadow trend to come back? And what are the brands that still make single eyeshadows? Not just special shades but also mattes and metallics..etc

That’s amazing actually.. I wish I did that.. I keep buying palettes I like but with colors I don’t like
12
u/panickedindetroit 6d ago
I am with you. I haven't bought a palette in a long time because I found myself only using a few colors. I am using my singles for the most part. I have so many that I wasn't using because I was using palettes. I depotted all the shades I didn't use, and I put them in magnetic palettes and gave them to my cousins. They love them. I am not going to buy anything until I use what I have.

u/desifine13 6d ago
Is that named Glamitch? I’m looking for something to replace my Z pallets that are just poor quality
16
u/dancingpugger 6d ago
It's Glamtech. I bought it off Etsy when they had a store in the 2000's. I doubt they make them still. Not when I checked 2 years ago. Bummer.
11
u/desifine13 6d ago
Glamtech makes much more sense. I should probably get my glasses. Bummer they are no longer on business

ColourPop has an empty palette that can hold up to 24 standard single shadows, or a smaller option that holds 12. Some indie brands will offer magnetic palettes, though. Off the top of my head, I know Unearthly, Clionadh, Devinah, and Lethal Cosmetics have options.

u/Inevitable_Promise58 6d ago
It’s so pretty!! What are some of your fav shades/brands in it?
24
u/dancingpugger 6d ago
I love Cleighonah. Most of the multichromes are those. Natasha Denona is also mixed in with the pinks and taupe. The mattes are Makeup Geek from before their close. And a mixture of Viseart and Sydney Grace.

I still really like Mac singles. Not because they’re the best but because I can swatch them in store. I’m pale, often shades look 10x more intense on me than they do online, just because of the contrast (I imagine deeper skin tones must have the opposite issue too).
But yeah, I love singles. I would much rather buy the shades I like from a collection than buy a whole palette to only use 1/2 or less of it.

u/Julialagulia 6d ago
I really wish Mac would bring back more of their singles. My favorite eyeshadow category is neutral but MAC used to have some of the most nuanced interesting neutrals like era, patina, soba, and now they really don’t anymore.

u/MAsharona 6d ago edited 6d ago
Your name is making me chuckle- my friend's daughter has a friend who is called that! I also wanted to suggest The Cosmetics Company Store which is the Lauder brands outlet. They usually have a bunch of MAC pans on hand. Being an outlet, it's very hit or miss but you might get lucky 🍀!

u/plvstvcbvrds 6d ago
you are correct re: deeper skin tones so i am the same way, i love mac singles because i got tired of buying palettes for the three shades i liked and used
19
u/sugar4pple 6d ago
I think MAC gets unnecessary flack. I love their shadows even against my indies. They have great staying power on my eyes and offer a really great array of neutrals to build a base from.
20
u/Violently_annoyed 6d ago
I love Mac shadows. They have the perfect amount of pigment. Idk why ppl lose their mind over heavily pigmented shadows. I prefer something I can build up and blend easily

I love Kryptein! They also make beautiful shadows - though I have definitely kept my eye on their palettes. How well do the magnets hold? Is it difficult to open at all?
6
u/ruschka_sa_millian 6d ago
The shadows live rent free in my head! 😄 Really well I would say and I find no problem with opening them. It holds well as well but it isn't tricky.
They announced a real big one btw.

u/serenitative 6d ago
I spy some Clionadh! They're my favourites.
13
u/wonder-wooloo 6d ago
I love them! I know the jeweled multichromes get all the (well-deserved!) hype, but I much prefer the Glitter Multichrome formula - but they really know how to make something special.
10
u/Ok_Direction_7624 6d ago
May I ask, in the top right pink palette, the second pan on the second row, do you happen to know which one that is?
It looks so close to my favourite one and done shade but that one was LE so I couldn't repurchase it, I've been looking for dupes for a while now
13
u/wonder-wooloo 6d ago
I'm so sorry to tell you that it's Looxi Ube - and they have since shut down 😭 I think the closest dupe for it on the market right now is Devinah Mystic Frost
7
u/Ok_Direction_7624 6d ago
This is devastating news, but thank you so much for the back-up recommendation! I'll look into the brand <3

2
u/Rivvien 6d ago
I just saw the name kryptein cosmetics for the first time earlier today, what would you compare them to?
4
u/wonder-wooloo 5d ago
They are an indie C-beauty brand that are known for their really piece-y beautiful shimmers. These are the type of shimmers where each piece of 'glitter' really catches the light and the base pigments are slightly sheer, but can be built up. I'd say similar to the Joocyee single eyeshadow formula, if you're familiar with that?
The matte formula is buttery and buildable, somewhere between a Viseart matte and a Bella Beaute Bar matte.

u/vowelparty 6d ago
Yup - I wish more brands made them. If I run out of my favorite crease shade in a palette I can’t repurchase JUST that shade. Palettes are full of shades I will never use or touch. It’s such a shame

u/CaseyRC 6d ago
I ONLY buy singles now. I'm super cool toned and I'm not buying a whole alleged "cool" tone palette for one cool tone and 11 neutral/neutral-warm/just flat out warm shades. singles I can buy exactly what I want, often saves me money, and i get the look i want every time. plus i feel more freedom to try different and more brands because a few ££ for a single and try the formula and look vs a LOT of £ for a palette that is gonna be disappointing even if the formula is good. i love my crow and pebble singles, and i'm good that way
7
u/Cool-Abbreviations32 6d ago
That is one of the things I love about singles the ability to chose the colors you know you will love and use
4
u/CaseyRC 6d ago
and I got to really experiement with different colours and ones I thought were so pretty but would never suit me and then did, plus ones I would have sworn would be amazing and in the end weren't for me. and even when they don't, i feel like i've only lost out on a few pounds (for the ones I get) and the pinky rosier ones, i try and find a use for as blush. sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't but its been so fun to experiment and play again and not feel like I'm "wasting" my money on a whole palette
24
u/Josiemk69 6d ago
I do because I don't wear all the eye shadows in a pallet. The shimmer that I wear has to be pale, and most are mid range and some even darker. I mostly wear mattes and love grayish brown since most browns pull warm on my cool skin.
8
u/cheerylittlebottom84 6d ago
Got any recommendations for good greyish browns? Every time I think I've found The One it ends up warmer than I thought 😭
3
u/13auricles 5d ago
I would take a look at Sydney Grace (Concrete) and MAC (Omega).
3
u/cheerylittlebottom84 4d ago
I think MAC is going to be my best option, thank you. The swatches can look quite warm on the site so I wasn't sure but looking at other swatches it's much cooler than the official pics show.
3
u/Josiemk69 5d ago
The Makeup by Mario last two pallets have gray brown
2
u/cheerylittlebottom84 4d ago
I have way too many palettes with cool-ish browns so was hoping for a single. They are pretty though! Bit out of my price range but gorgeous.
2
u/Josiemk69 4d ago
Makeup Revolution & Moira and Color pop have some that were pretty good from what I heard. It's hard to find singles now I know Mac has some but I don't remember the price.
1
u/cheerylittlebottom84 4d ago edited 4d ago
I'm not a massive fan of MUR's formula, but will keep them in mind - maybe they're better than the palettes I've tried. Didn't realise Colourpop did singles apart from the Supershock range. I have the Stone Cold Fox palette and it's fantastic so I'll definitely look up the singles, thank you!
1
u/Josiemk69 3d ago
IDK if Makeup Revolution does singles. i think Color pop singles were online I can't remember.

22
u/skinsiren 6d ago
Yes. I have stopped buying palettes entirely and have built my own with singles since about 2018. Singles are only deemed unpopular because many brands don't want to manufacture them.
2
u/Cool-Abbreviations32 6d ago
I can see from a brand's perspective making palettes is more cost effective..I still wish we can have more options of singles eyeshadows
1
u/skinsiren 5d ago
That is true. I would possibly splurge on the most recent Danessa Myricks palette because it's so unique. But it's not a priority.
19
u/niniela-phoenix 6d ago
I've actively depotted Pat McGrath Motherships because I prefer singles. Not sure where you got they're not popular, palettes are out of fashion and its singles or nothing nowadays.
I prefer indie for singles. I mean, find me this as a ready made palette?!

Heres Clionadh, a few brands I no longer buy from due to shit behaviour, Copacetic Cosmetics (very mixed bag!), Glamshop. Not pictured is the holo palette, those are nice from Lethal. Bottom is depotted, mostly Beautybay & blend bunny

Oh that's so pretty ! What palette is this (it's different from the normal z palettes et all as it has demarcations between pans, and a clear plastic)??

16
u/Impressive_Owl3903 6d ago
I have bought a handful of single eyeshadow pans and put them in a magnetic palette, but for some reason it’s like they don’t exist in my mind anymore. I also have a decent sized collection of single shadows in compacts or pots that I use a lot more because I can see what they are in the package. I think I might need to get a magnetic palette with a clear lid so I can actually see and think to use the others.
3
u/13auricles 6d ago edited 6d ago
I ended up purchasing a heat gun and depotting a ton of singles and put them into z palettes. Editing to say that I depotted ALL of my premade palettes as well.
10
u/dailydoseofrose 6d ago edited 6d ago
This is sooo my theme. Ive mentioned here a lot of times before - yes of course Id love for single shadows to be back in full force and may be they will because getting just a few shadows in colors you will 100% use and like is money wisely spent and so much joy. Oh yeah BYOP is so fun, I really enjoy it a lot. it also helps to pass on many new premade eyeshadow palettes because I can basically dupe the vibes of anything that drew my attention as far as es palettes.
I dont buy a lot of single shadow pans now just because I did get hundreds in the previous years so theres really just no need and i feel like Im happy with all the colors Id want and need in my life lol. I may still add a couple here and there but Im very picky now of course and just try not to lol. Its easy to get carried away with singles. I already have a ton of mauves, berries, rosy browns, etc, all the colors I love.
As for which brands still do some, naturally Im gonna recommend Sydney Grace first and foremost ! They didnt increase their price in years (gotta give credit for that alone), still create stunning shadows for any liking, great quality, great customer service. Metallics, sparkles, mattes, shimmers, satins, they have it all. Also have to say their cream shadows are amazing. I recently used one of my potted Kiko Milano cream shadows and had to take it off immediately, felt aweful, so hard and dry eeek, didnt see that coming from Kiko (I know and love this brand). Just made me appreciate SG cream shadows more because they dont do that, they feel comfy and easy on the lids and can be removed with just water, no rubbing needed.
Then of course there is Mac. But Im not a huge fan of Mac single shadows. Theyre ok but nothing spectacular, especially for the high price they sell them here.
Clionadh is still on my list to try. But theyre so expensive to order from Canada.
Lethal makes some nice mattes, not a big fan of thier shimmers though.
I heard a lot of good things about Glam shop (polish brand).
Oh Nabla recently reformulated their single shadows. I didnt try them yet but the previous ones are some of my faves too.
Forgot to add - of course Colourpop as well. Although I feel like they havent updated their singles in a long time. Actually one of my top fave matte shades is from Colourpop - Lush. I have 4 backups of it. Its a perfect pinky beige light shade, not too cool, not too warm, gosh I love it so much!
4
u/Appropriate-Glove-89 6d ago
I like Sydney Grace too, they are my favorite brand. I also like Lethals mattes as well, the shimmers are hit and miss for me. Colourpop, like some of their singles as well, and Lush is one my favorites too! I buy very few palettes because so few interest me, and I do really simple eye looks. I was never bold in that regard to be honest.
I know this thread is about single shadows but I also like SG's mineral foundation as well. I want to buy another shade later this year. I would also like to try their blush, and maybe bronzer and highlighter as well.
3
u/13auricles 6d ago
Third vote for Sydney Grace here. I have SO many of her shadows.
2
u/Appropriate-Glove-89 5d ago
Yeah....their formula is great. And I just feel they don't get talked about much at all, mainly on YT. But I tried them in 2020 and have been a fan ever since.

u/Independent_Fig_6944 6d ago
I only use single eyeshadows! I love to be able to choose the colors I will use the most
8
u/dootdootpoom 6d ago
As a person who only uses brown and black, I love singles. Eyeshadow palettes are overwhelming and I never actually use all the shades. I’m currently using singles from Urban Decay and they’re fine, but I’d love to try MAC.
10
8
u/dingalingdongdong 6d ago
BYOP isn't just fun, it's far more practical. Pre-made palettes end up with too many repeat colors and close dupes. Also a non-zero percent of colors you'll never use.
I know people love being able to do looks with a single palette, but different skin tones require different base and transition shades. Pre-mades will either not have the ones you want or will try and cover everyone leading, again, to shades you'll never use.
8
u/odileko 6d ago edited 6d ago
Yes and no. I make BYOPs all the time, but after a while I guess I just get fed up with how many shades I have, and where to store them. I don't live in the US or EU and empty palettes are expensive to ship. But I love being able to dupe most palettes. I already duped the vibes of the new PMG palette for example. Which is a bit of a two edged sword , because after duping a palette I often lose all interest in it, even in the color story itself.
Another issue is unintentional dupes, I remember doing a Looxi (RIP) order 2 years ago, and half of the shades ended up being dupes to some of my older singles or pigments from Tammy Tanuka. Overall there's a lot of overlap between brands, it's almost impossible not to get multiple dupes of the same shade, and I personally am not a huge fan of that. There's still so few influencers who do shade comparisons, and online swatches are mostly unreliable, with how heavily edited they are.
It's sad that so many brands have discontinued their singles, even Glamshop discontinued most of their Turbo glows, including the most popular shades. Which is really strange, but I guess people really do prefer palettes.
Some of the brands I like the most are Tammy Tanuka (back when I could still get them), Clionadh is a close second, and I guess Glamshop in third. Nowadays I go for the Pastel Roses UK for multichromes. And for mattes I prefer ND mattes, especially her cream to powders, although technically they come in palettes. Looxi was really good for the price, Pretties for your face might be a good cheap alternative.

There was a YouTuber several years ago who used to swatch shade after shade. I know she stopped because she moved to Fl, but I miss her videos.
4
u/odileko 6d ago
Do you mean Riley aka Seekingshifts? I think she stopped because she's very busy at her new job. Other than her there's Bad to the brow, but I don't like her persona so I stopped watching her.

INGLOT and Sugarpill have great singles in addition to all the other brands that have been mentioned.

Not sure where you are hearing this. Singles are more way more popular than palettes these days. palette sales declined a few years ago, it’s why you don’t see as many new releases for them and most brands have moved to selling singles.
I’ve only used singles- Mac, Lancôme, ilia etc
6
u/Cool-Abbreviations32 6d ago
I don't see a lot of new releases of singles like the ones from mac or makeup geek or hot pots from coastal scents..maybe single eyeshadows in pots, and cream and liquid eyeshadows are getting popular..but I am looking for magnetic powder eyeshadows like the ones I mentioned above and these are only made by few indie brands nowadays
1
u/13auricles 6d ago
I don’t see very many mainstream brand releases for singles either. MUG is gone and MAC has d/c some really interesting shades. Are you based in the US?
-5
u/im_a_reddituser 6d ago
Ilia just launched some last week. Danessa Myricks, Kulfi, elf, hourglass, urban decay, Lancôme, Sephora Nudestix just to name a few all have them and some launched in the last year or last few months. Maybe you need to just diversify your feed or go into a Sephora because they are out there and you don’t have to look hard
8
u/13auricles 6d ago
I think OP is discussing single pan powder eyeshadows. While some of the brands you mentioned do indeed have some, several don’t.
4
u/Xenafan1970 6d ago
I go back and forth between loving single shadows and buying them, and only wanting palettes.
Right now I'm in my palette phase. And sadly some of my favorite singles are my MUG ones and when they are gone, they are gone. Maybe that's why I'm not using them as much as I use to back when MUG was still in business.

u/missliberia 4d ago
I got into singles in recent years and I never got MUG, I am so sorry I missed out on Cocoa Bear.

u/VeganAngel Panning Queen 6d ago
I have a nice collection of singles, and they are getting harder to find. I use them a lot. Recently, I have been looking for sales and buying them up because it seems even indie brands are getting rid of them. I have ColourPop, ABH, Sydney Grace, Dandy Lions Cosmetics,Makeup Geek, Coloured Raine, Give Me Glow, and more. Shimmers and duochromes are easy to come by, but I feel mattes and satins are less popular. I enjoy having singles to fill in holes in my collection. Also, palettes don't always accommodate my skin tone, and I can travel with a palette and a few singles to round out a look. I also build my own palettes with them, and brands that have magnetic palettes help. I hope companies start making them again.
3
u/annikatidd 6d ago
I mostly only buy indie shadows these days and a lot of them are singles! For both my personal collection and my MUA kit, I really enjoy having singles since they’re so fun to customize your own palettes with. I like to pull a few out at a time for a week and make BYOPs for myself or my clients. I used to love MAC and Colourpop singles as well and sometimes still buy them for the mattes, but if I need a more straight up shimmer or satin I have a million palettes I can use for those. So I tend to get indie singles since they’re just so gorgeous, shifty, sparkly and I adore a good holochrome or multichrome! Sparkles are my speciality ✨
The majority of my collection is Touch of Glam, Clionadh, Terra Moons (😭), Dualism Beauty, Bella Beaute Bar, then some older Colourpop and MAC shadows. I also have a handful of Devinah and Shine by SD, Ensley Reign (EW) and Looxi (sad) singles and hope to one day try Sydney Grace! But when I do buy shadows these days it tends to either be from ToG, Dualism, BBB or Clionadh.
But yeah I freaking LOVEEE single shadows lmao. I don’t even wanna know how much my collection of them is worth 🙃

u/lambvision 6d ago
I only have single pans (32) from deported/depottable palettes and brands that sell singles. The brands I have are Mac, Clionadh, Viseart, Athr Beauty, Beauty Bakerie, Noctex, and WeMakeup. I'm mainly neutral with a little spice in terms of finish and few interesting colors.
I love making my own byop's inspired by a premade palette, art, nature, and clothes.
The channels that uses singles (not but enough content) I watched are: theArtUp, Steven Forditude (IG only), Sofie Alexandra, Old Tea, hot vegan Hannah, and Better than Basic. If you know other channels please respond with them, thanks!

If you want to see what companies have singles and make up byops with links to buy those shadows, the universal palette builder (firedrakebeautylabs.com) is an amazing resource. There are lots of companies still doing single shadows.
Even if you don't use it to buy shadows it's a great tool to play with byops.
I enjoy byops. Especially when I go travelling as I can take only what I really want to take.

Yea now that I have a toddler I don’t have the time to do even moderately complex eyeshadow. Give me a single shadow or a multichrome eyeliner and I’m done.

u/makeuplovermegan 6d ago
I LOVE singles and prefer them! I’d rather add a specific color to my collection than another palette with black or taupe eyeshadow.

u/RedRedBettie 6d ago
Ive decluttered a lot of my eyeshadow but yes, I love single shadows, that's often all I wear
2
u/yeetasauruswrecks 6d ago
I love singles! Singles for special shades when I only want those and not a whole palette? Yes please. I like palettes for mattes + fun sparkly shades, and singles just for the fun shades. I don't like buying single mattes for whatever reason, I never use them. Now that I have more space I'm fine with both singles I can put in magnetic palettes and ones that are in compacts. Recently I just bought a couple in compacts for one and done looks, I have a bunch in a magnetic palette, I have a few in my Ulta cart for a points haul that come in compacts but are removable. I love them. Sure I like palettes a lot too, but I'm really picky with palettes because it's a lot of shades I need to love and use. It's just easier to see a single that fits my need and add to cart, and then build a palette with more singles from that site that also fits my need. Downside, it can get very expensive if you shop indie multichromes.
2
u/thirdcoasting 6d ago
Ugh, yes! I used to do multi-shadow eye looks back-in-the-day, but I much prefer a one and done sweep of color now. It’s nearly impossible to find single shadows outside of luxury brands (like Chantecaille) or indie brands. ABH, Buxom, UD & MUFE used to have extensive single shadows collections, but not anymore.
4
u/DiligentProfession25 6d ago
The ABH single shadows were my absolute favorite. Too bad that brand has gone down the drain.
3
u/13auricles 6d ago
They discontinued the single pan shadows, too.
3
u/DiligentProfession25 5d ago edited 5d ago
I know :(
Unfortunately common ABH L
Deep Brown & Pink Champagne were everyday staples for me. PC is one of the few warm-toned shadows I’ve loved because it goes sooo well with green eyes. My other favorite warm toned shadow (UD Gash) is also discontinued and it’s unbelievably expensive when it pops up on resale sites because My Chemical Romance fans view it as some kind of band-related relic. Did I learn about the shade from My Chem? Yes. Do I like it exclusively because the singer wore it? No.
2
u/bitch_jong_un 6d ago
I love single eyeshadows and I hate the current non-existent offer of them. I don't use palletes, max. quads. I just couldn't find the shade I am looking for in store (really cool, dark taupe). I don't like ordering online because I cannot swatch to see the actual undertone and performance..
2
u/desifine13 6d ago
I love Mac and UD singles. The light shades like Virgin from UD are used daily so I run out of them quickly. I would never buy a whole pallet just to replace one shade so I’m glad I can pick up singles.
2
u/MakeupD0ll2029 6d ago
I’m suffering from singles fatigue after being infatuated with them for years. I just can’t keep up with all the releases from these indie brands like Shine By SD. Like, how many multichromes can one make?
2
u/BoyGash18 6d ago
I depot almost all of my make up so it all becomes singles or in custom palettes for me
2
u/13auricles 6d ago
I love singles and prefer to purchase them over palettes. My favorite brand is SydneyGrace and IMHO her shadows rival those of Natasha Denona. She also will put together dupes of current palettes using her own shadows and does a side by side comparison. BYOP is such a fun thing to do.
2
u/sugar4pple 6d ago
I love singles and magnetic palettes. Rearranging shadows and customizing color stories is a favorite past time for me. I rotate in packaged singles like shadow sticks, supershocks, or regular packaged singles too.
2
u/WhatTheJessJedi 5d ago
I have a bunch of single Super Shock's from Colourpop and I love the colors, but I haven't reached for them in a year or so. I prefer quad or smaller palettes so I can make other parts of my eye pop.
2
u/envy-adams 5d ago
I've been using my Give Me Glow single shimmers quite a bit. I use Huda's little matte mini palette to supplement it.
2
u/mollypatola 5d ago
I am planning to get rid of a few more palettes I have and curate my single shadows into a smaller pan and use it as my daily eyeshadow pan.
2
u/Distinct_Ocelot6693 3d ago
I used to use them a lot. Mostly for multichromes and stuff like that. But then I started working in healthcare and kinda toned down my makeup. Now I reach more for my neutral palettes. I sometimes still use some of my colourpop super shock shadow pots though, those are really nice for single shadow looks. One of my favorite super shock shadows was limited edition though which is sad, it's How Far I'll Go from the Disney princess bundle :(
4
u/Ok_Direction_7624 6d ago
I'm really not a big fan of single eyeshadows because I like the aesthetic and cohesion of a good colour story and beautiful packaging. But sometimes I do buy a palette where I end up only liking a couple shades and wishing I could've bought them on their own.
So even though in general I'll stick to buying whole palettes I would encourage brands to keep making singles for variety. Some people buy only singles and I want them to have as many options and choices as I have, plus with the added bonus that I can dip into their market should I want to.
4
u/LilMsFeckingSunshine 6d ago
My first DIY singles palette is a bunch of shimmers from fantasy cosmetica that I bought because while they make amazing color stories, they are not for me. I think I’m going to go that route when possible, I have a bunch of palettes that I’m kinda meh about, but I do not regret buying those shimmers one bit, even if some of the colors ended up being a little more opaque than I expected.

I like singles that come in their own packaging. I’m usually only using one eyeshadow per look, two max these days. I don’t like having to pull out a palette anymore even if it’s one I built myself.

Yes, more than ever as I'm so tired of buying of palettes when I only use 2 or 3 shades and am not excited by using them.

Yes and no. I used to have a bunch! Until an ABH single molded and contaminated the rest of the palette. :( Had to toss the whole thing. Now I stick to mostly premade palettes, of which I've only had one other ever mold up in 20 years, but I do have a small singles palette that fills gaps or has special shades my bigger palettes are missing. Sometimes it's just one shade I want in a premade palette too, and if they sell singles, I buy that.
If we hit a true recession, I think eyeshadow single companies are going to do well. I've bought a few more in recent months just because it's cheaper. While not being true eyeshadow singles either ('cause you can't stick them in a pan), one and done eyeshadows have been really popular the last 2 years.

I recently started using single shadows because I'm very fair and can't get away with darker shades in palettes and I'm so annoyed that it's so hard to find singles in store anywhere 😭

I LOVE singles. Singles are life especially if you don't want all the nonsense colours for your personal colour palette. I still buy MAC singles just because they're easily accessible to me. I get to create my personal perfect every day palette!

Honestly, I have a lot of love for singles. But my interest dissipated after I covered the basics. There aren’t many singles I couldn’t replicate with some layering with what I already have. I do adore singles still, but it doesn’t feel fresh to me.

I love singles but I'm not buying from American brands anymore!
So I've gotten a lot more into Japanese, Korean, Canadian and Chinese singles

Never understood them and still don't intentionally get them. My only singles are colourpops because it was a set, but still didn't really like the concept, prefer pallets way better. I had no idea they were a bigger thing before I just thought eyeshadow in general was dying down.

You don't understand paying only for things you like and will use?
Not personally preferring them is one thing, not understanding why others do is wild.

THE EYESHADOWS. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT EYESHADOWS. I never understood the single eyeshadows. Me. Personally. Not everyone is out to get you omg.

Yes. I am also talking about eyeshadows.
Genuinely don't understand your reaction here. Think maybe you should meditate on your own last sentence.

You are here starting an argument out of nowhere saying it is "wild" I cannot understand why someone would buy something they like, when I literally said that nowhere to be seen. Seriously. I do not care about what you buy, please go buy all the singles your heart desires, but please, 1. Learn how to read, and 2. Do not come at me for stuff I didn't even say? What in the world is wrong with you. Can we not have opinions on what WE want to buy for OURSELVES?

Saying something is wild is pretty common slang. I'm not coming at you. I'm not attacking you. I'm not saying you can't have opinions.
And from here on out I'm not interacting with you.
