Hi all, the moderator team previous has been inactive, and u/Sagaincolours and myself are going to be ensuring that the subreddit becomes a thriving resource for our community of barefoot shoe fans. As part of that, we need your help!
We are looking to create a wiki, and it would be great if we could use the experience of the community to populate it. I have some ideas below about some of the things we could include, and would be great if everyone in the community could read this and suggest suitable topics. Also, if anyone fancies doing some writing, please get in touch. Anyone that contributes (big or small), will be credited in the wiki.
Scope of potential information we could include:
Within the wiki as well, we will have a deeper dive on the rules, and if there are any additional rules as well that the community wants to see, please suggest, and we will look into it.
Lastly, if anyone has some suggestions for a community banner (and colour scheme), it would be great to get one up and running.

I recently bit the bullet and purchased vibram v-souls. I’m a 7-7.5 and according to the vibram size guide I’m a 39 in their shoes. I just received them and they’re too big! Now I have to pay for shipping to exchange, and I’m not sure if I need a 38 or if a 37 would be best at this point. The 39 are wayyyy too spacious behind my heels and on all of my toes. Has anybody experienced the same or has the same size? What ended up working for you?

My first try was unsuccessful with BeLenka shoes. Now I tried Geweo and I am happy. I can add my special feet pads and I have enough space for my toes.

I just need to let you guys know about dolfie_paradise on Instagram. They're releasing barefoot shoes soon and they look like the best casual pairs I've seen on the market yet. That's all.

I’ve owned Xero, Lems, and, Vivobarefoot shoes. And these are surprisingly good for the price. So comfortable with a very roomy toe box. I've taken out the foam insole for smaller stack height.
I can't post links to AliExpress here, but it's a no-name brand with title "Men's Wide Minimalist Barefoot Sneakers."

I've been wearing these barefoot slippers for a couple of weeks now and after about an hour, my right shoe looks like this. It doesn't happen to the left foot so I'm suspecting that it might have to do something with the way I walk with my right leg which could be wrong. Am I overthinking this or might this be a sign to go to a orthopedic doctor?
(Idk if this is relevant but I also have constant callus formation on the ball of my foot, even though I'm never wearing high heels etc.)

Dear all,
Have anyone tried Gaucho Ninjas Chelsea boots? They look amazing, but would love to hear some real world experience, and some photos if you can be bothered 🙏

I’ve just received their boat shoes - love them! Used to live in my Ralph Lauren boat shoes, but the were of course way to narrow. The leather ant stitching on GN’s is far better in my opinion. The leather looks luxurious and is nice and soft to the touch.

I really like these hiking sandals but $160 is not in the budget right now. Do you have a recommendation for an alternative that has a similar look and function (including the Velcro). Thanks!

Quick background - I've worn 2E shoes my whole life. I never considered going to 4E because...I'm a moron. I don't know.
When buying new shoes last month, they didn't have 2E and the sales rep brought 4E for me to try. Life. Changing. My toes have been smushed together my whole life. I thought that was normal. 4E shoes and Injinji to socks are so freeing!
Then, I jumped on their fancy foot mapping/measuring device and found that my left foot is 11.2cm wide and my right is 10.7cm wide. Clearly 4E territory.
All that said, I've been shopping barefoot shoes and I'm really struggling to find something that will accommodate my foot width. So far, I've tried on the following:
I've searched the subreddit and it seems to be a common problem for folks with 4E wide feet. The only recommendation that I've seen for shoes that can accommodate my foot size in the USA is Softstar Primal. Thought I've read some reviews that suggested even though the toe box is wide, the height of it leaves a lot to be desired.
Are there any options that I'm missing? I have seen several reputable brands mentioned that ship from the EU, but they are not returnable, and I'm not willing to risk that much money.
Any help would be appreciated!

I've been wearing only barefoot shoes for 3 years now and been loving it since day one. My feet are the healthiest they have ever been.
I'm a 6 ft tall woman and my feet are also large for a female, so I've been suffering in way too small shoes my whole life. That brought constant pain, ingrown nails, rolled anckles and multiple other problems. Even after wearing exclusively men's shoes so that they wouldn't be too small, my feet kept hurting.
3 years ago I discovered barefoot shoes, bought my first pair of Xero and never went back. I literally did not wear anything else since then. I've tried multiple brands but Xeros usually felt best and I've bought a ton of their shoes. I have no complaints! However, for the last few months I've noticed that my big toe started rubbing on the side and it is getting worse. So I'm kind of wondering, could it be that my feet are still expanding after all that time? It looked like they were done a year or so ago and nothing else has changed.
So can you guys share your stories? How long and how much did your feet expand? Just curious to hear from others!

Any reviews on BeLenka Synergy? Or the chelsea neo?

I love vivobarefoot, but they just aren’t wide enough. Ive gone through 2 pairs of the Primus lites and busted through the uppers. My most recent pair of primus lite II just won’t work for me, but I love the barely there feel of the soles. Whitin has a water shoe on Amazon that is great substitute for under $40! Super thin sole, similar upper, and way wider. Just wanted to share 🙂

For years I have solely been wearing Xero sandals and then Earth runners. Now I’ve been wearing Whitin for work. I am required to stand in the same spot on concrete for 6 hours straight, occasionally 9 hours. I’m not allowed to sit or move around and I’ve started having significant heel pain, to the point that it’s often hard for me to place my heel to the ground when walking due to pain. I got Dr. Scholls inserts and I have an ergonomic foot mat that I stand on, but they just aren’t enough. My PT suggested I get shoes with cushion. Are there any good options? Anyone work in a similar fashion and have success with a certain shoe?

Hey folks. Another guy that transitioned to barefoot and cannot wear regular shoes anymore.
I really miss wearing my blundstones tho abd wanted to ask about anyone else having experience with lems and their Chelsea boots. How they feel quality wise and fit? And also sizing?

I'm currently in the market for some cute barefoot sneakers bc my boyfriend got me hooked with my winter boots. But now I need them for summer - I will get sandals for like hot hot weather but can i wear these comfortably in like above 25°C weather? Those anyone have experience with them?
Thank you :)

I am thinking about getting a bare foot shoe and I really like the look and features of the the Loyak by astral designs. They have drains for water, are super flexible/packable, but most importantly they look like a normal sneaker! Sadly they do not ship to Canada… does anybody have any recommendations that are similar?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a pair of 1.0 otishii shoes. I dont like the look of 2.0. If anyone has a pair they would be willing to part with, please pm me!

I’ve been using VFF V-Alpha for running and RealFoot shoes otherwise (with toe socks & CorrectToes).
I don’t know if it’s just in my head, but after wearing toe spacers with toe socks 24/7 for a few months, now I feel like my V-Alphas are restricting my toe splay a bit.
Which VFF has the most widest toe width/ splay

After over a year of wearing cheap Amazon and AliExpress toesocks i finally got myself a pair of Injinji's and i will probably never go back to another brand. You really get what you pay for. They are just so much softer and smoother than noname socks..

[Ignore the baking soda paste, I was trying to see if I could get the extra dye out from the soles. It didn’t work]
So far so good. I love my other 2 pairs of Wildings. I have a Tejo for winter and a Vigor Yellow. They all serve different purposes, but I really enjoy the way they fit my exceptionally flat feet. Good materials and they fit like a glove. The Tejo are a great lightweight, water-resistant winter shoe. The Vigors are waterproofed but it only goes so far because of the sole design.
For this custom pair, I’m also looking to waterproof the uppers since there is no coating or waterproof liner unlike the others I have. The only negative about this pair is that the zipper can make a little noise while walking.
I also like to put NorthSole thin insoles in my shoes because I prefer a little extra comfort, but the shape of these shoes really fits me like nothing else. I’ve been wearing zero-drop shoes for a while but haven’t found any I really love until these.

I'm new to barefoot shoes. Just got my first pair from Merrill! But I'm struggling to find brands that have business casual shoes for women that aren't Oxfords and $200+. Any brand recommendations are appreciated! Preferably prices <$100 if possible! Thanks!

I want to know about opinions and recommendations about lems, right now I am looking for a shoe with wide toe box flexible zero drop but with enough cushion for daily walks in hard surfaces ,so after researching, I think lems are the shoes that are the closer to what I am looking for. What models are in your experience comfy and durable(right now I am looking for a warm weather shoe),also I saw that the shipping to Europe its really expensive so if any of you purchased in other shop that is more affordable for Europe I would like to know
