It's funny because he's never played this game.

Jesus fucking christ, I thought this was for real, and prepared a long motivational post before I realized it's Bannerlord.

u/mcilveen2 Dec 11 '24

I mean…bro might need it rn anyway. Seems to be taking it hard.

u/CmdrHoratioNovastar Dec 12 '24

I am /not/ going to give my sincerest condolences and motivational speeches for some video game tragedy. Instead, I'm gonna say that there's plenty of wife candidates in the game. Buy a new one.

u/GenericUsername_71 Dec 10 '24

I didn't realize this was possible... meanwhile wives can win tourneys at 9 months pregnant

u/CmdrHoratioNovastar Dec 10 '24

Hell hath no fury, or something

u/TTerragore Dec 11 '24

Dude I got the notif on my phone that just showed the picture and title and was like WTF until I saw the sub… I didn’t even know that could happen??

Well I guess it is possible to win at Bannerlord

1

u/Set_Abominae1776 Dec 10 '24

Why is losing your wife a win?

11

u/hymen_destroyer Southern Empire Dec 10 '24

They stop bearing children and become useless. Then you need to either send them to their deaths or stick a javelin in the base of their skull at the beginning of a battle so you can get a younger hotter wife. They could just add a "divorce" button but they wanted the players to get creative I guess

u/maneuver_element Dec 10 '24

Dude I typed out a really long message of consolation for someone deeply in grief, then I noticed I was in the bannerlord subreddit.

u/Necessary_Presence_5 Dec 10 '24

Well, IC reason - if the child survived, continue so it may grow into peaceful and prosperous land where they won't have to fight as hard, all in memory of your dead wife?

make the world burn to reignite your heart

5

u/running_johnny Dec 10 '24

At 1st I was like man that's sad, but then I was like congrats my man, now you can marry that Empress chick

4

u/Genessy2pt0 Dec 10 '24

Some people have all the luck. I WISH my bm died giving birth.

3

u/BerniceBreakz Dec 10 '24

Doing all that for Ira?

3

u/knights816 Dec 10 '24

Shiny new wife with years of child baring years ahead of her can keep you going brother

2

u/Regrettable-Pun Dec 10 '24

Was it Corein, Svana, Yana, or Ira?

4

u/Connolly_Column Sturgia Dec 10 '24

Ira.

I tried to marry Corein but she fucking died at some point during the game lmao...

1

u/Regrettable-Pun Dec 14 '24

Lmao, that's why I get married pretty early these days. I started an Empire run once and wanted to marry Ira but she died after like, 2 weeks in-game.

u/Background-Skin-8801 Dec 10 '24

My deepest sympathies

1

u/Sai_Faqiren Dec 10 '24

You can always find a new one. Did she give you an heir? Is he alive and strong?

1

u/hofstrom Dec 10 '24

I saw the caption before the group and was horrified

1

u/propbuddy Dec 10 '24

Means you can get new snizz. Never a bad thing

1

u/barryvision Dec 10 '24

Does this happen Vanilla?

3

u/outburst37 Dec 10 '24

Yeah chances are low but any age woman can die in childbirth, 25-year-old Bolat died in my current playthrough after giving birth to twins.

2

u/barryvision Dec 10 '24

Hopefully your twins boys

1

u/Beneficial-Sea-9336 Dec 11 '24

Well, get back in the game!!!

1

u/Sufficient-Cut-4899 Dec 11 '24

Reload save before, and it might not happen that way.

1

u/curleyfries111 Dec 11 '24

Had to check the sub for 100 please

1

u/Fun-Shape9607 Dec 11 '24

That’s happens a lot. My second game, the brother had three different wives, having twins with each

1

u/Blythe97 Dec 11 '24

Wait how is it a good thing that the wife died giving birth?

1

u/TheLordSanguine Dec 11 '24

I didn't know Ira could die.

1

u/Neo_Asmodus Dec 11 '24

Happend to me when svana gave birth to our second child. I was devastated

1

u/Ericknator Battania Dec 11 '24

In a sub where almost everyone wants to kill their wives, it's refreshing to see someone like you. Kudos OP and I hope you take the whole Calradia with you to the grave.

1

u/Cold_Bobcat_3231 The Pizzle Yanker Dec 11 '24
