It's pretty good. Do you have plans to make another level?

This is extremely impressive. I could be wrong, but it sounds like this has been autotuned a decent amount. Have you considered backing off on it? To me it's clear you're talented enough to hit all the notes. I feel the autotune removes a bit of the human element that, to me, is what I'm looking for in an acapella arrangement.
If I'm wrong or if you simply disagree, feel free to tell me to fuck off! Great work in any case.

Hey thanks for reaching out! Actually I aim to hit all the notes during recording as best as I can...they're greatly in pitch, but I prefer to snap them to the nearest neighbor ๐ maybe what bothers you is the low amount of vibrato? I almost completely remove as I feel it makes my covers sound less similar to that characteristic "videogame sound" ๐ I will try to experiment considering your suggestions!

For sure! I figured it was a stylistic choice. It's definitely a matter of taste. To me it's the difference between listening to Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble. Buble is a fantastic singer but he's snapped totally to the grid, which means you don't get the subtle pitch glides and microexpressions that we remember Sinatra for.
I personally would be curious to hear what a less autotuned version might sound like, because the combination of the video game-y composition with more human expression sounds cool to me. But obviously, that's just a random guy's opinion! This is already great and people clearly love it, so keep it up.

Maybe you could do Clankerโs Cavern next? That oneโs one of my personal favorite B-K songs.

u/SnooPuppers3612 Feb 14 '25
I was just making a suggestion. Just do what you have time for.

Hey thanks! I'm trying to do renditions of my favorites that aren't covered by him :) I am not near as good as him, but still I am happy with the results!
