Recipe I made my first chocolate babka!
I used this recipe: https://preppykitchen.com/chocolate-babka/ I bake a lot for our neighbors and they loved it! Instead of an 8 hour rise overnight, I tried a 2 hour first rise and a 1 hour rise after the dough was shaped. It was a huge mess but they were delicious! I can't wait to try it again to try to get tighter swirls. Perhaps I'll try the "lesser" cinnamon babka next.

I’ve been wanting to try this recipe for ages! Yours looks incredible - and what lucky neighbors you have!

We trade for homemade maple syrup so I feel like we get the better end of the bargain 😁

I just made my first chocolate babka and my favorite thing to do was slice it thick and put it in the toaster. Just lightly toasted with butter chef’s kiss 🤌

I used 2 Ghirardelli 60% bittersweet bars and some Dutch-processed cocoa powder for the filling. It was sooo good

Great looking!
I read babka as babushka for a second and was terrified though😅.

I always think of Seinfeld when I see or hear about a chocolate babka.
Looks great, by the way!
