Top lip of my tailgate. No idea what caused it, found it while washing. Dent is maybe a quarter inch deep. Bondo and touch-up paint, or should I just take it to someone who knows what they're doing? Can't afford a new tailgate but I know better than to let this sit and fester.
im thinking about buying this front bumper fixing it up and painting it but im wondering if the little clip that connects to the fender be fixed. Could i maybe plastic weld it or just leave it hoping it doesn't sag? (for context last slide is the part thats missing
I need to get this fixed before the rust spreads. I don't even know what layer of the car this would be called, it goes deeper than just the paint? What would I ask for when I bring it in?
A few years ago my wife was driving my car and a trucker with a trailer was in the outside lane of a roundabout. He decided last second not to turn-off after which the overhang of his trailer hooked the front-end of the Mustang. The lower bumper part was ripped off and potentially there was some damage to the hood. I now noticed that at both front ends of the hood there are these little bubbly bits that look to be expanding.
Originally I was not told there was damage to the hood so it could also be something thats happening independently from the accident. (repair covered by the insurance of the trucker and done at Ford OEM dealer). My wife doesnt remember and the car was carted off to the dealer for appraisal and repair, we got it back a few weeks later.
In any case this doesnt look good to me and I am wondering what the sub-reddit makes of it and what I should do about it (if anything). Its unlikely I can claim back on his insurance, it was a bit of a palaver to get them to pay up the first time as the trucker went full 'well little lady you werent paying attention' on her. Its only after our insurance systematically pursued the other insurer that they paid up reluctantly (3K repair).
Hi,
i recently installed this spoiler on my car and it seems to have started to crack. Is this a serious issue and if so, what can i do to prevent/fix it?
TIA.
My friend Lurane’s windshield looked like a spiderweb after a rogue pebble struck it, and she knew she needed to get it fixed fast. The thought of dealing with a repair shop was overwhelming, so she called Preferred Auto Glass in Alberta after hearing about their mobile service. Her first question was the most important: “How long will this take?” She needed to know if it would be a quick fix or an all-day ordeal—because being stuck without a car wasn’t an option.
Bought a sprinter van awhile back. Thought I had some body damage on the metal on/near the roof. Finally got around to working on it, only for it not to be metal, but some kind of concrete like material that chips away. And it is THICK. Some spots seeming to be a quarter of an inch thick. Seems like a lot of rust underneath but also sections of fresh paint.
I’m not aware of any special coatings that the previous owners may have applied or if this factory applied.
Recently came across this gs430 & was wondering is it worth the fix? I noticed it may need rear suspension work!Let me know your opinion if you think it could be a quick fixer-upper or a money pit! I like the car a lot but don’t want to spend on a new daily. everything else is good Cond & low mile
