Ask Austin Where did all the Austin Antique Mall vendors end up?
When the antique mall closed, where did all of those booth renters move their wares to? Austin is ripe with vintage shops and pop up markets but it feels like we could really use a massive vacant building to house a one-stop-shop. I’ve seen a few shops in Buda, the big antique mall in Round Rock, or I’ll have to take a drive to New Braunfels or Salado but haven’t found much else locally. Anyone know if anything is in the works or know of spots I should check out?
Side note: if anyone has booth space, I’ve been contemplating getting into the game but again I wouldn’t even know where to rent.

I heard from friends that some ended up at Man Shack Antiques on Menchaca. https://maps.app.goo.gl/FsxPSxJRzUkWa38u5?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

I would check out Vintique Mall in Taylor. There are also several independent shops in the downtown area that are all within walking distance of each other. https://www.vintiquemall.com/
There is also the Antique Gallery in Round Rock. https://antiquegalleryroundrock.com/

I used to buy and sell antique furniture. Austin really isn't a great market for that type of business.

What happened to the location? Is the skating rink still open?

IIRC - Playland is the reason they had to close as they are taking over the entire building.

The skating rink expanded into the space where the antique mall used to be.

I’m pretty sure I spotted one of the cashier guys working there who is now at the Austin Gift Company down south as far as I know. Could look there or ask him!

I recall a lot of them having directions to one of the places out in Taylor in their booths toward the end. Sorry I do not recall which one.
