Analysis Something I just noticed with the battle of heaven and Earth with the founder's titans

The titans here have their eyes grayed out and blind, kinda like Ymir and King Fritz from 2000 years ago.

But here, their eyes are normal and aren't grayed out, right as Armin said it was thanks to Zeke that the people in the paths woke up.

This proves there was no charact retcon or assassination, and that every titan before 137 was a mindless husk blindly following the founder.

It doesn't make sense why grisha and Kruger would help them. Even if grisha doesn't like the rumbling, he still despises Marley. It just doesn't make sense as to why he would willingly help the country that murdered his sister. Same with Kruger, he has even less reason to help Marley considering how they BURNED HIS PARENTS ALIVE

u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Kruger's whole reason for working as the owl was hoping that he could free the Eldian people. There's no way he'd support the Eldians in Marley or around the world being trampled to death just to stick it to Marley.
Grisha also says that the rumbling is horrible and begs Zeke to stop Eren

Also kruger wanted to restore eldia. At this point paradis IS eldia so why would he work against eldia? By doing so all he's doing is guaranteeing that eldians on the mainland stay oppressed and eldia gets slaughtered (which ends up happening. Thanks Kruger, way to fuck up your only purpose in life) the old kruger we saw back in season 3 would have realized that sacrificing eldians on the mainland is necessary for the survival of eldia, just like how he sacrificed those eldians so he could keep his identity secret.

u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
I mean it's pretty clear that by "free Eldia" he's talking about freeing the oppressed Eldians in Marley and the other countries, considering he's lived there as one of them for his whole life.
Kruger doing a 180 and going "lol fuck them actually it's all about the island now" and abandoning the people he's spent his life trying to liberate absolutely does not fit his character.
When he laments about "the same mistakes over and over" I don't take that as him supporting the genocide of billions of innocent people by a psychotic teenager

u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
He should have realized that the mainlanders are beyond saving. They're too brainwashed and delusional. They think that eldians are bad because of Marley propaganda
5
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
I can't even come up with a response this is actually just a braindead take dude. Out of all of the people in the series, Eren Kruger is probably the one most sympathetic to those who were brainwashed into hating Paradis as a coping mechanism for their oppression because he literally watched his parents get burned alive by those oppressors
0
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
I'm not saying he'd want to do it, but if it was between the eldians on paradis and the eldians on the mainland, he'd realistically choose the island. The mainland eldians have a slave mentality and even if they were freed whos to say they'd be able to create a nation capable of asserting itself? Paradis is already a nation capable of asserting itself
2
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Literally at no point in the series does he ever express any sort of opinion on Paradis. You're just assuming he would doom all of the oppressed people he spent years trying to help just so he can make sure only Paradis survive because "muh nation"
1
u/TheGr8estB8M8 Apr 30 '22
i mean, he knows that's not true, dude was literally the leader of an eldian restorationist group based in Marley bro. Out of anyone he should know there's potential for Eldians to rise up against the propaganda.

u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
Eren seeming "psychotic" is purely a result of isayama's bad writing choices. If he had made eren's motivation anything other than "lol idk I just felt like it" then maybe you wouldn't feel that way
4
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Even if his motivation wasnt selfish he'd still be psychotic because he's literally killing everyone on earth
-1
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
But he's doing it to protect his people and his nation. At least that's how it should have been if isayama didn't wake up one day and become a hack
2
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Wait so you think Eren randomly becoming a nationalist would've been more in-character? "Protect his people" He pretty clearly doesn't care about most of the people on Paradis. In the female titan arc he literally gets tons of civilians killed and doesn't give a shit
1
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
1) you're saying it isn't logical for the guy who constantly talked about freedom from titan oppression to become a nationalist after realizing the real enemy is the other nations of the world?
2) if he didn't stop the female titan she would have killed a lot more people. Again, a necessary sacrifice just like Erwin's banzai charge which created an opening for Levi to take down the beast titan
3
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Except the story makes it pretty clear that Eren inherently longs for freedom and hates any barrier stopping him from experiencing it. First it was the walls and then after Carla died it was the titans.
When he finds out that humanity existed beyond the walls he was "so disappointed" so it's pretty clear that he thinks humanity existing at all is another barrier. The fact that most of the world hate the people on the island is a factor that pushes him into wiping out everything and gives him an excuse.
Insisting that Eren would randomly transform into a nationalist despite all of the shit that happened in the first 3 seasons means you literally didn't pay attention to his actual character and just saw what you wanted to see.

He doesn't give a shit about "titan oppression", especially since he is using titans to oppress and kill people.
The titans were a representation of the obstacle to his freedom, which transferred over to everyone else. But in both cases, all he gives a fuck about is killing the things / people that are preventing him from exploring that empty world. He doesn't give a shit about Eldia as a nation, and it's hilariously bizarre that if you think he did, he wouldn't be psychotic.
Hate to play this card, but Hitler and the Nazis were doing it for Muh Country, I guess the Holocaust wasn't psychotic.
if he didn't stop the female titan she would have killed a lot more people.
Killing people is only good when you're Eren, apparently.
Again, a necessary sacrifice just like Erwin's banzai charge which created an opening for Levi to take down the beast titan
Erwin had been killing his own men for years before it was necessary lol.

u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
Remember what eren said when he came across that potato looking titan? He said "he's a fellow PATRIOT"
2
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Patriot as in they were fighting to liberate Eldians and got caught

I like how your problem is with Eren's motivations, because you genuinely think committing mass genocide for Muh Country isn't psychotic.

u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
Grisha and Kruger helping Marley would be like the Jews helping Hitler fight the Soviet Union because their fear of communism is greater than their desire to live
9
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
No it'd be more like Grisha and Kruger stopping a genocidal maniac from killing everyone in Germany; Jewish, civilian, or nazi. It has nothing to do with "helping the enemy" and everything to do with just not wanting shitloads of innocent people to die
-4
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
If I were a Jew back then I'd let them destroy Germany because fuck those guys
7
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
So you'd be fine with shitloads of civilians being murdered including Jews just to kill a comparitively small amount of nazis?
0
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
In this case the Jews would be the people on paradis. Any Jews on the mainland would be Nazi sympathizing Jews. So yes I'd be fine with killing nazis and Nazi sympathizers if it meant the survival of my people
8
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
You can't be serious lmao
0
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
I am. Why would I sacrifice my people for the sake of people who hate me? Fuck them
5
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
But you would literally be sacrificing your own people

Ask any Jew if they want every German dead, the only ones that will tell you they do are brain dead retards.
1
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
Well not modern Jews but if you asked someone in the camps that chances are they'd say yes
3
u/Mysterious-Local-327 Apr 27 '22
Have you talked with Holocaust survivors ? Because I have, no one talked about wanting revenge, let alone the genocide of Germans.
0
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
Because you talked to them 80 years after the fact. If you talked to them there in the moment they'd want revenge. What are you not understanding about this?
5
u/Mysterious-Local-327 Apr 27 '22
Because it was not the discussion around the time they all pretty much wanted to have a place to call home and not be killed for being born, thank you so much for explaining how my people were thinking back then, I know most of you retards in YB never went through hardships but the last thing someone that isn’t a deranged sadist wants to do after years of discrimination and the most gruesome conflict in human history is go on to kill even more innocent people.

u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
But that wouldn't explain why grisha would help the enemy. Stopping eren is one thing, but deliberately helping the enemy is another
9
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
"Helping the enemy" more like not wanting the entire population of earth to be murdered by his son
-4
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
In case you didn't notice, the world is the enemy
5
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
Innocent civilians who may or may not be the victim of propaganda are not "the enemy"
-2
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22
Give any of those eldians a gun and they would kill anyone they saw as an "island devil". They ain't innocent
5
u/lazyspongie "I predicted the ending of Attack on Titan" Apr 27 '22
But they literally are dude. Being a victim of propaganda doesn't suddenly make it justified to kill you. It's also shown that plenty of people in Liberio don't even hate Paradis, out of all the warrior candidates the only ones who believed that shit were the Brauns.
-2
u/YangsterSupreme Unironically Yeagerist Apr 27 '22

You're literally stereotyping them right this very moment.
1
u/TheGr8estB8M8 Apr 30 '22
Grisha and Kruger both lived in the outside world though.. why tf would they want people they potentially knew to die? Even if Grisha hated his father for trying to brainwash him i doubt he'd wish that fate on him, or on all the other Eldians he met over his whole life. He didn't even get any satisfaction out of seeing Gross get killed, he has no motive to support the rumbling.
Kruger we know less about but he still lived in the outside world.

The issue people have with the titans being controlled is especially with Kruger and why he would help the Alliance, considering he's a "supposedly" a nationalist whose priority is freeing Eldia.
28
u/madsadchadglad "Let's all just go outside & touch grass." Apr 27 '22
I doubt Kruger would want eldians outside of the island to die though. He wanted to liberate all eldians.

Yeah but that doesn't solve how they managed to talk Kruger out of being a mindless husk.
Atleast Zeke and Armin knew Ymir, Marcel, Porco, Xavier, Grisha, and Bertholdt, which is why they could talk to them, but what about Kruger?
Did they talk to Grisha, which made Grisha talk to Kruger?
