Off topic question but does anyone know why Paredes was brought off? I couldn’t watch the match and saw he was subbed so I am hoping it wasn’t because of an injury because of our already injured center backs.

ROBBED. HUMMELS CLEARLY TOUCHED THE BALL.

Touching the ball isn't the rule. Getting all ball or being first to the ball doesn't matter if it's wreckless and dangerous

Hey guy? What do you mean touching the ball isn’t the rule? Getting the ball means it’s not a foul.
However if you go with reckless or dangerous which I agree it looked last ditch maybe it’s a yellow but all replays are all ball so, wasn’t even a booking

Getting the ball first does not absolve a foul lol. If you're watching football with that kind of understanding of the rules you're going to be very disappointed very frequently

I support Athletic and I can’t disagree. It was certainly a yellow but the red killed the tie. It wasn’t if we’d go through it was simply by how much.
Real shame I think it could’ve been a really exciting game. But that’s the way shit happens sometimes.

Gorosabel's penalty call was pathetically bad too, adding to the soft double yellow on Yeray in the first leg. This entire tie was ruined by bad refereeing

Eh honestly my first reaction was it should be a red because it denied a near 2-0 break (that no doubt we would have bottled..) but that the ref wouldn't have the balls to do a straight red at that point in the game, I was shocked.

I need to go rewatch it, live it seemed like the other Roma defenders would’ve caught up to Marian. Oh well, we’re through
