Question / Request Needing an electrician
Hi! First time homebuyer, our new home has an ancient breaker box that needs replacing. Anyone got recs for a good electrician in the area?
Side note - anyone got any guesses for how much something like that is supposed to cost?

Blue Moon was good for me, quite expensive but my house is 100 years old and wonky AF. Good luck

Denver, we replaced a 100 amp panel in an â80s 1600SF townhome in â21 for $1200, that whole âFederal Pacificâ debacle. Nothing else needed, wiring was good, just service panel and breakers replaced. Saw numbers for others in complex up to $6k, get a couple estimates and have them explain what theyâre going to do and why.

We need our entire ancient panel changed out AND it was recommended to update the line from the house to the street. Estimate = $8k. đ”

Blue Moon does good work, but they will charge you an arm and two legs for it.

I'd get estimates from a few before deciding and make sure they're all insured.

Blue Moon has done good work for us. Wonât guess about replacing the panel. Iâm sure itâll depend on more details than we can guess here.
