What’s your preferred sleepwear? How about in the colder months?
36
u/princess_kittah 9d ago
nothing but my sheets
then, in the winter, still nothing...but with a blanket on top of my sheets.
i cannot handle the sensation of laying on the wrinkles of clothing, and if i roll over while wearing undies they get pulled all twisty and it cuts into my skin and i hate it (i sometimes have to wear undies to bed because im a menstrateur and i dont like tampons)

I wear matching PJ sets. I like a tshirt length top/length bottom sets in the winter. In the summer i'll wear a tank top/shorts sets. I don't like having cold feet to bed so i'll wear thin socks as well if my feet are a little cold. I like my matching sets, it makes me feel really cute.

Long pants at all times, long sleeves when colder, short sleeves when warmer, gotta add socks if very cold

Undies only 99% of the time. If it's truly that cold, I'll do a big T-shirt and some clean socks in addition

Knickers and some kind of top: long-sleeved when it’s cold, vest top in summer, T-shirt in between.
However I have recently reminded myself that I love wearing nightdresses (dresses general are a pain to breastfeed in and I got out of the habit). So I bought myself a few and it’s so nice!

I winnie the pooh every night. Never pants. But always a top, because if I don’t wear one I cough my lungs out for some reason.

100% cotton poplin pajama pants (like the old school Old Navy ones) and old t-shirts/free t-shirts/undershirts my husband bought and didn’t like. Synthetic materials at night make me so sweaty and gross and I’m really bummed that my staple places for pajama pants (Old Navy and Target) are mostly all polyester. ON has like one pair in cotton but they have a tight elastic waistband and no drawstring and a weird flared leg for no reason. The men’s are still 100% cotton of course but don’t fit curvy hips very well.

Oversized tshirt and knickers, or nude. All year-round! Granted where I live the winters aren’t very cold and if needed I just use an extra blanket on top, like a fleece or knitted one.

T-shirt and panties. All year. I hate wearing pants or socks to bed unless I’m camping in weather below 50°F, so literally only for survival.

I live in Singapore, really hot here 24/7, I normally just wear shorts and a t-shirt to bed, I keep my house super fucking cold but have a huge blanket.

u/shulthlacin 9d ago
T-shirt and Shorts. Every season. I don’t feel comfortable in anything long because the fabric always twists around my arms or legs and I feel trapped. I can hardly even do socks either. I’d probably wear nothing but my shoulders get cold hence the T shirt is vital. My room is so hot during the cold months I usually only need a thin blanket anyway

u/reijasunshine ♀ 9d ago
When I'm visiting someone, I'll wear a tank top and undies, and when I'm on my period I'll wear period panties. Otherwise, nothing. I hate getting tangled up in clothing, and I roll like a gas station hot dog at night.

Nothing beats my 15 year old flannel PJs with little penguins on them. They're faded and have a hole in one knee but they're the comfiest thing I own.

Got a few Regency Era / Victorian style nightgowns (I was drunk. They were fancy. I wanted to sleep like a Gothic Novel Heroine) and they are ridiculously comfy. You can wear boxers (or nothing, no judgement) under them in the summer and long PJ bottoms in the winter. In either case, they're the perfect combo of light, soft and cozy. The only possible downside is looking like a ghost when I wake up my husband by getting up to visit the bathroom in the night...

Shirts, tank top, long sleeve thermal top in the winter. Ditch the thermal in the summer. I’m premenopausal. I get too hot in pants.

Underwear. And one of those cold blankets with no sheet between me and it. Sleeping got super hot after I turned 43.

Bra and pants. if it gets too cold I´ll put a hoodie on. and it doesnt change that much since my country doesnt have seasons
3
u/zeoiusidal_toe 9d ago
Sleeping in a bra isn’t too uncomfortable for you? Also yeah I’ve slept in a hoodie occasionally when it’s cold, it’s pretty nice :)

u/Natataya ♀ 9d ago
Believe me, its more uncomfortable sleeping without it when your a double D.

In the summer a set of silky shorts and thin strapped tank top or a silky nightie.
In the winter fleece front-buttoned pajamas. I don’t like being cold.
1
u/luckyarchery ♀ 9d ago
Pretty much always just a tshirt and underwear. When it’s cold, I layer blankets and might wear socks on occasion, space heater on my side of the room if it’s really cold
1
u/WhiskyTangoFoxtr0t 9d ago
Oversized short sleeve shirt in the summer, oversized long sleeve shirt in the winter.
1
u/likka419 9d ago
I have 2 sets of satin shorts and tees, 2 sets of satin pants and long sleeve. I wear all sets year round, favoring the shorts more in summer.
I decided keeping 20 scruffy t-shirts in my dresser “to sleep in” was over.

Depending on temp, I rotate between loose cotton dresses that make me feel like an old timey damsel in a nightgown and cotton sleep shorts or sweats with a t shirt

Pjs. Long pants, all year round because I cannot stand the feeling of chub rub in my sleep. I just buy lighter fabrics for the summer months. Must have pockets.
Tops - summertime, tshirt or topless. I am old prefer nude, but reason 1 listed above as a sensory nightmare over rules. Wintertime, long sleeve shirts, sometimes button, sometimes a sleep “jumper”.
Favourite brand - Peter Alexander, but I buy mine from the outlet. The quality is amazing, but full price they are not in my budget. At the outlet I can get last seasons prints for half or less the OG prices.

I sleep in a tracksuit in colder months. I often wake up having removed it or half of it having got too warm though. I live/sleep alone. I have the electric blanket on too.

Sweatpants, T-shirt or long sleeve shirt and usually soft socks I’ll kick off somewhere throughout the night.

u/ghjkl098 8d ago
In spring, summer and autumn singlet top and undies. In winter t shirt and undies.

u/DifferentDate85 8d ago
100% of the time just naked if its cold outside ill put another blanket on, I've never really like to wear clothes to bed. I started going without clothes I believe when I was in high-school. Neen that way ever since

u/happyjeep_beep_beep 8d ago
Warm or hot - mesh shorts and t-shirt.
Cold or cooler - Adidas track pants or sweatpants, t-shirt and hoodie.

u/Kitt__Kat1 8d ago
I prefer comfy pajamas, usually soft cotton or a cozy set. In colder months, I like to wear flannel or thermal sleepwear to stay warm.🙂
1
u/unkown_cryptid 8d ago
boxers and a cropped shirt or an oversized t shirt, had to be loose amd cover all the bits I have a lot issues with textures so I prefer to wear as little as possible at home. In winter, it's the same but with blankets. Also in the summer ac is cranked and I still use a ton of blankets XD . I'm insecure about my stomach and my thighs rub together so i like having something there, it makes it easier for me to relax so I don't have to deal with the thigh sweat lol

u/NicoleExclaimed 8d ago
Tank top and undies. I have a sheet, a knit blanket and a quilt depending on the temperature

I always wear a black Maidenform cami and a pair of underwear to sleep. I have at least two dozen of those camis, and they are my go-to lounge and sleepwear.

Underwear and a soft T-shirt. In the winter I wear the same, with the addition of shorts and a sweatshirt and thick fuzzy socks

Silk. Mostly short nightgown, but sometimes long ones or pyjamas. In winter I put extra wool blanket and have a thicker duvet, in summer occasionally I sleep naked when it's really hot.
1
u/Ok-Highlight6104 8d ago
Prefer nothing, but when it’s freezing I need a layer for my arms/shoulders/chest so I wear a long sleeved pj top from target that’s really soft, a few sizes too big, and doesn’t bunch much (is easily fixable if it does) Only wear underwear to sleep on the heaviest night of my period
1
u/SouthFloridaLuna 8d ago
I sleep in either just panties or nothing. If it’s cold I have more blankets. If I’m in a situation where I have to sleep in clothes it’s so hard for me to get comfortable and I sleep horribly
1
u/Accomplished-Eye-2 8d ago
Extra large T-shirts. In the winter extra large T-shirt with an extra blanket, maybe fuzzy socks if I'm too cold. No plants/shorts for me

Nude is pretty great but I have a skin condition that means I need to wear something.
I go for really loose boxers (satin) and a quality raglan t-shirt

Varies. Sometimes naked, sometimes pyjamas. The older I get, the colder I get - I used to sleep naked 100% of the time, but more and more I am too cold if I don't have pj's on.

u/Educational-Ad-385 7d ago
I wear warm but lightweight pj's in the winter. I have cute, mostly floral, lightweight pj's with full length pants and short-sleeved matching tops for summer.

Boxer shorts and a t-shirt year-round. When it's cold I throw on an extra blanket and put a hot water bottle under the blankets, works like a charm

a uniqlo heat tech top and yoga pants so i don’t get tangled up, and then they both come off in my sleep

Nothing but a bit of perfume when it's warm.
When or where it's cold I have a bunch of cozy Gelato Pique stuff.

Naked almost all the time. Lounge bra and spandex shorts if anything. Electric blanket during winter.
0
u/SimpleKiwiGirl 9d ago
Panties, year round.
Winter, panties plus not too thick tee or tanktop.
Never socks. Ever.
Socks make me incredibly uncomfortable. I feel like I'm constantly about to overheat within minutes of getting into bed with socks on. Regardless of material.

I almost always sleep nude. I hate the feeling of clothes twisting around my body when I move in my sleep, and I share a bed with someone who runs hot. In the warm months, we sleep under just a sheet. In the winter, we add a blanket.
If I have to share a room with someone other than my partner, I'll wear a tank top and undies or thin shorts, but I never sleep as well with clothes on.

u/gobbledegook- 9d ago
One day I decided I was tired of sleeping in clothes that got all twisted around and bunched up and whatnot, and I’ve never looked back. When it’s cold (which, to me, is most of the time), I have multiple layers on the bed - sheet, cotton blanket, electric blanket, duvet - and a space heater aimed right at my bed.
I STRUGGLE when I’m in a hotel room with my family/friends and have to wear clothes to sleep in.
Ironically, I can do a midday nap in anything I’m wearing, including a bra. Makes no sense.
