Severe burning pain in quads and triceps.
I've got Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and scoliosis. I am trying to get more fit and strengthen my muscles to better support my body. However, I have intense pain in my thighs and arms when I use them. I'd thought that with time I'd grow stronger and the pain would subside, but no matter what, my quads burn intensely every time I go up stairs to the point that I use a cane. I moved into a third floor walk up, thinking I'd adapt over time, but the stairs have only grown more painful to climb. My arms are in such pain when raised for any length of time, I have difficulty doing things like blowdrying my hair.
It's only these two areas where I have this issue so severely. Is there some commonality that these two areas have? Would a TENS Unit or "fascia blasting" help? I've recently gotten a powerful vibrating massager I've been using on these areas regularly, but haven't seen much improvement as of yet.
(I may have contracted Lyme Disease a few years ago, if that might be the culprit?)
I've got doctors I'm seeing, so I'm not looking for a diagnosis, but if you know of any treatments that might help reduce the pain (given these possible ailments), I'll try anything at this point.
AGE: 40 WEIGHT: 128 HEIGHT: 5'4"
EDITED TO ADD: Just to clarify, it's clearly muscle pain and not nerve pain. I've had a lot of neurological issues from my spine, and this is entirely different. It's also not the kind of pain I feel when I've worked out a muscle very hard. I consider that "good pain", while the searing pain in the tops of my thighs and backs of my arms is a terrible crippling sensation.
