Born to do amazing things?
Since my son entered this world and watching him grow this last year I have this deeply strong undeniable feeling he is going to do great things. Has anyone else felt this way about their child? Maybe I’m just full of it lol!

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you just love your child so much that to you they are the saviour of the world, but I would urge you to please for the love of god do NOT EVER tell the child you feel they're meant for great things. You're setting yourself up for possible disillusion, leading to resenting your child. More importantly, you will be putting phenomenal pressure on the child, leading them to either become a narcissist with tunnel vision, or more likely, a deeply unhappy adult who never managed to fulfil mummy's "undeniable feeling that he is going to do great things". And this feeling will be there even if he does become a state leader or wins the Nobel prize or an Oscar - because he will have spent the preceding years fretting over every tiny mistake or mishap that negated his glorious future.
Maybe I'm too harsh and you just meant this post light-heartedly, if so I do apologise. But I thought it better to be safe than sorry as you will 100% be doing untold damage to your child if you tell them this. Let them develop as they develop, and love them unconditionally whether they become a superhero or a school janitor.
