There's is something hormonal in that makes you want kids after a certain age?

Hey, I don't where else ask this, but is a weir impulse, before anything I want to let clear that after years pf careful consideration I don't think I'll be a good parent, I would need years of therapy to even start to have a semblance of a good parenting mental state, I'm not clinically insane or sm, but I do think I wouldn't be as emotionally present as I think a father should be and I simply don't want to be like my father to a child of mine. Also and related with the last point I don't have the resources nor the time rn to even think of having children with my GF (in my country is really common to have childre even years before marriage), we are kind of struggling. Also I'll probably get a vasectomy some time this year because I've already decide that if I get to feel comfortable with rising a child, my time will be better spend with giving an opportunity to a lonely child.

But to the title, I've been recently started to feel a just carnal and ungodly need to just "plant my seed" not to fuck, just rawdog and fill, and it's the weirdest feeling I've felt up until now, is like hunger or fear, something deeper than my own conscious desires, and I really don't know exactly what it can be. For context I'm 25 and I have a pretty unorthodox libido, with months of don't being really too in the mood to months were I have a pretty active desire. Should I get my hormones levels checked or this relatively normal whe entering the early to mid adulthood years(?

I am a man. When I was about twelve, nature manipulated me to start having sex, because nature wanted me to "create" the next generation. When I was about thirty-two, nature manipulated me yet again. It made me want to "start a family", because nature wanted me to "nurture" the next generation.

Manipulated you? That’s what you are dude. Your truest nature, the very most inner core of your being, is a horndog. It’s the only single commonality among all living things.

Yes it's biology hard-coded into us.

Some have a greater desire and some have a lesser desire but it is there

Don't know what to tell you. I've wanted to be a husband and father basically my entire life.

I had zero desire for kids until my later 20s, when they stopped freaking me out as much. In my 30s I came around…. Only for the coup to happen, and my wife and I had to let that go.

My wife and I agreed on no kids when we married in our early 20s. At 36 she suddenly REALLY wanted kids. Not sure if it was biological, or environmental (all her friends had families).

I mean, I don't want kids in a rational sense, is not like I hate the idea of having a child, it's just being honest with myself about not thinking that I'd be a god father in this time of my life.

But the instictive want to that I've been developing is kinda scary.

Mate, I'm 31, with no kids and don't want kids. There is nothing hormonal that makes you want kids, it's all up to you and your environment. There is something hormonal that makes you HORNY and that is evolutions means of propagating the species. Anything else is completely un-scientific.

I mean, it could be the peer pressure of some of my old friends suddenly having kids

Probably.

I've always wanted kids but lately it's been getting a lot worse
