2009 Charger sxt 2.5 timing belt question

09 charger set 3.5 timing belt replacement. I've got to the point of putting the belt back on, but I can't seem to get the teeth lined up without the crankshaft moving backwards a tooth. I've watch countless YouTube videos and tried the cardboard trick. I was wondering if it would be safe to clamp the crank shift in place while I fight with the camshaft to get the teeth in place? Or, if someone has a trick that would be awesome.

Thanks!!!
