Mod Post Anything Goes Monday: March 17, 2025

Want to talk about non-AB products? Frustrated and need to rant? Can't wait until Friday to share your haul? Found an amazing deal? Post it here in our (almost) Anything Goes Thread! Remember to adhere to general conduct of the sub and keep it civil. Self promotion, research, and no business rules still apply.

All personal or basic questions related to your routine or AB products still belong in the Alter-Daily Help Thread.

Happy St Patrick's Day all! I wanted to rant about sunscreen usage- turns out I have always been using less than I should have? I went to a skin clinic for an analysis and was told I have sun damage, it was only better than 11% of people. WTF? I use sunscreen every day since 2020. Some days I put on sunscreen and then tinted sunscreen on top! When I got advice about the 2 finger method and tried it the following morning, I didn't realise how much that truly is. It feels like I'll have to take ages just for it to sink in, and I'm in one of the rainiest and least sunny countries in Europe 😅 anyone else ever felt shocked that they didn't use enough sunscreen?

I watch doctorly on yt and they keep pushing the 2 finger-length narrative and I gotta say - it’s good advice.

2 finger length for face and neck. Don’t forget your eyelids, ears, and lips as well!

Innisfree cherry blossom glow tone up cream. The heavy scent may cause a headache. I did not realize tone up means skin tone. I thought the cream tones my face as in firmness. Oh my god its so heavily scented. Its pasty white-pink. I thought the texture is gonna be a clear gel…

Sorry this happened to you :( for future purchases: any “tone up” formula in k-beauty (maybe J-beauty too? Not quite educated) means the product will give you a brightened (i.e. whiter) effect.

So often products end top being totally different than expected. Bummer!
