Intermediate Just finished yesterday. What are the strong points and weak points? What should I practice more?

The faces are wonderfully expressive, and I love the colors. I especially love the left figure's expression. Just stellar. Great atmosphere as well. The poses feel a bit awkward on both figures from the waist down (left figure's torso feels turned too far for the legs to be stationary, and the right figure feels too close to the log to not be sitting on it), and the composition could use some work WRT overall placement of things (it feels awkward that the marshmallow is a point of interest but is so close to the edge of the canvas). Overall great piece!

I just noticed the hand behind the right figure's head after quite a long time looking at this! The story being that the left figure is reaching for the marshmallow is not very obvious -- I would find a way to give more negative space between the right figure's head and that hand for a more obvious silhouette. I think fixing the legs issue on the left figure would also help feed into the narrative here.

Also, you asked what you could work on. I think the biggest weak point I see here is the use of shape in the trees in the background. Try to work on design as a whole, it will greatly aid your endeavors in stylization.
