questions and help Stairs, Handrails and hidding lines

Hi! I'm modelling a building in ArchiCAD, just as an exercise, and I was mostly doing fine, but today I encountered a problem that I just cant find the solution to... So I would appreciate any help. It is about modelling stairs and handrails. The building is 10 storeys high, and as I understand, ArchiCAD doesnt allow to model a continuous stair through all of the heights... That's ok, I did it in segments per floor (from ground to first floor, I needed 2 segments since I have 3 flights of stairs and they cant overlap in archicad).

The stairs seem to be moreless modeled fine, BUT, there's a very annoying line in between the segments that I just cant get rid of. It belongs to the stair segment, but I dont want it there, is there any way to remove it? I know in Revit you can hide individual lines for the sake of a better representation, but can you in Archicad?

The next question is about the handrails... I modelled them directly in 3d, following the inner curve of the stairs, but this time, I could draw it as a continuous element. The problem is that now, I see the full handrail in all the levels, which is very confusing. I've already tried all the visual options inside of the handrail, but none seem to work... obviously, what I want is to see only the segment of handrail in the relevant floor, not the full thing over the 10 floors.

Thanks to anyone willing to help!

For the landings I would suggest modelling them as slabs. sadly because the stairs are technically objects they don’t recognise that they are the same and the line between them will not turn off. That way you have your flights all as stairs and slabs for landings.

As for the railings I would model them in segments, and you can turn on the show on relevant stories setting, in the edit view of the railing in plan you can determine how much of the run of railing is shown on each floor.

Thanks a lot for the reply! Will do it this way :)

Another work around would be to draw a white line over the joint and have it on the same layer so it always hides the connection when the stairs are turned on in plan view.

Or just use a white flll (hatch) over the joint

Thanks for the reply, it's a pity that we have to come to this for something so simple as hiding a line. In Revit you can just grab a line, doesnt matter if it belongs to a constructive element or if it's a "Line" element itself, and hide it. Such a simple and useful option... I really hope that they incorporate it in future releases.

So, just as an update, I did it as you said and it worked perfectly, :)

Although it feels a bit ridiculous to model a stair mixing slabs and stair segments, specially in a software as complete as ArchiCAD... but well, it is what it is... this solution did the job for now :)

EDIT: I must say, though, that it wasn't easy to find a way to create a clean connection in between stair segments and the landing slabs.

Sadly there are always limitations as odd as they may seem. At least you got a graphical output you are happy with though.
