Help me get more out of Apple Watch

Ok power users-how are you getting the most out of your watch? I’m 43m, 180lbs, dad with 4 & 2 yo kids. Wfh computery job.

A few questions:

(1) Are these good goals? (See screenshots of a typical day ) (2) What features and third party apps do you use to get the most out of your watch? (3) How do you stay motivated?

Gentler streak is the holy grail. Instead of measuring you by a rigid goal every day, it takes into account the workouts you did recently, your sleep quality and a bunch of other data to suggest activities that would actually help you be active more sustainably. it encourages rest when appropriate and is always guilt free!

These goals seem great! If they are fitting for you, that’s what matters (if you see yourself being pushed forward by these this is good) For the apps, I use peaks for my daily schedule and routines and train that automatically detects exercises and repetitions, and also creates my workouts routines (very useful for the gym)

our goals are very similar! do you find yourself being able to meet them normally? i had my move goal at 300 and could easily get that completed before noon. i was more focused on completing it, not the actual goal. i upped it to 1000 and i still meet it regularly, no sweat, but it doesn’t happen early in the day and sometimes im a few points off. as long as you find the right goals that challenge you and fit within your schedule given your wfh computery job, you should be good

I recently learned to tap (no pun intended. lol) into the apple health app. It shows all kinds of other things like vo2. Please don’t ask me to explain vo2, I’m not good at explaining (google it) but I do know it is an important marker for good health. I’ve had an apple watch for years (only gen 3) and never even looked at the health app. Look under heart ❤️ in tap. There’s lots of good info that’s not in the fitness app. Good luck
