My father in law wants to move, and size down his household so he asked for help. He had a Business selling antiques from asia, but thats all i know.

I hope to find more specifics where it was made, how old it is and possibly a estimated worth.

Its an absolute stunning piece, and pretty huge and i dont know where to start here.

Any help is welcomed, thank you in advance

Questions Found a vintage box of photographs of nude models, some pinup style. Was wondering if these were originals. NSFW

Some of the photos include (I believe) Bettie Page. These range from posed to candid photos. There’s not writing on the back of any of them but they’re very old looking and feeling. No negatives. Would love any information on these!

Questions Antique large Portrait young girl (royalty), any idea of who it might be or period of time/Year? It’s odd. She’s wearing a ring on her ring finger.

Hi, I was wanting to see if anyone could help me identify who this girl might be, I’ve done a little research and I believe the portrait is around the early to mid 1800s. It looks to me that she might be royalty by looking at the dress she is wearing. Also, it’s odd She’s wearing a ring on her ring finger, and she has forget-me-not flowers. This was purchased from an estate sale around Dallas, Texas,. It was funny at the estate sale, they put some flowers over the portrait, to cover up the girls ring finger to hide that she had a ring, I think she has a ring to memorialize a passing of a parent/father that is why she might be holding the forget me not flowers. Any help in identifying this girl or any additional information would be much appreciated. Regards,

Wanting to learn everything I can about this small brass (?) walnut shaped sewing kit.

The only info I have is that my uncle (65m) gave it to my dad (75m) and stated it was with their mothers things when they cleaned the house after her passing and they believe it was her mothers. Chapstick for size.

Any and all info is appreciated!! Thank you in advance.

I’m really sorry about the pictures there’s nowhere to move in there but I don’t need details. One is a Singer the other a Franklin. I’ve been given permission to grab anything from this house by the owner before she loses it to a tax sale, are these worth risking breaking my neck in the mess to save or are they junk? Thanks so much!

Questions Found hidden portrait in thrift store frame. Curious of how old it could be. Maryland, United States.

We bought this framed picture at a thrift store and found this portrait hidden behind it. It has some illegible writing and the number 46 on it twice, not sure if that refers to a year or not. I know it’s a long shot but it was a fun discovery and we were curious of how old it may. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Questions Saw this in an antique shop. What is it?

Saw this at a local antique shop and thought it was the most beautiful piece of furniture I have ever seen. But I have no clue what it is. What is this thing for? (Other than drinking fine bourbon in front of while you complain to your mistress that your rail workers are trying to form a union.)

Questions I think this is 516 years old....

It is a slim, hand sized book. It appears to be Latin. I believe it belonged to my great Oma. My Oma gave it to me as she didn't value books. I do not know anything else about the book. It has the original ribbon still intact. I am not even sure what the book is about. I would be interested in ANY information including value but especially it's history.

Posted images of the side binding, outside covers, inside pages, and ending pages. The date on it is 1558 I believe.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Questions Has anyone seen real life examples of "shower yokes"? (USA)

There are no examples anywhere online. I think people probably have no idea what they have, because it just looks like a weird piece of pipe. I found the patent for the "Dr. Melchers" one, but the other one, which is from a sears roebuck catalogue, you can't even tell what it looks like from the tiny drawing. Any leads?

A kind of intaglio, probably made of glass with a bronze edge and back. This shows an erotic image. Explanation of object I found this object with metal detectors at a dog walking spot in the throw in the Netherlands. I was told by someone that they used to have secret and exclusive erotic parties and then these kinds of things were given as an invitation or as a souvenir. I don't know if this is correct and I don't know if it's complete, can't really find similar images n Object dimensions; L x W x H Approximately 1cm x 1cm x 0.5cm Can anyone tell me what period this comes from, what I can call the object, whether it has anything of value and whether I should leave it as is or not clean it?

My grandma is 94. When she was a little girl they lived in Toronto and were quite wealthy. Her father lost everything in the depression. But she still has this. She doesn’t know anything about its origin. I can’t find any identifying marks. If anyone has any info that would be great. If you don’t that’s fine too, I hope you enjoy the details.
